If someone votes, that person is tacitly admitting it means something even if it means one is trying to postpone something. So voting still matters and if one is trying to postpone something than it's a tacit admission that the country isn't lost yet.

It all hinges on how they vote and what policies they support.

If their values are aligned towards furtherance of traditional American culture, then sure, bring in all you like.
If their values are to elect radical progressive democrats to every office they can possibly manage to(Like all the 'immigrants' democrats keep demanding be let in, gee I wonder why), then the country is dead.

I don't think Germans from the 1800s-1940s were wanting to come here to vote for gender reassignment surgeries.

Yes, progressives absolutely do vet their immigrants to make sure they approve of their policies. It doesn't matter to a progressive if they actually share their views though, only that they vote how they want them to. Look at their comments when South Africans were trying to flee.
