I'm not familiar with immigration law, can someone tell me how long it will be until, or even if, the arrive immigrant of this sort can get citizenship?

The new dem voting law automatically registers anyone to vote that gets any kind of public assistance.
Or are we to believe that non citizens don't receive public assistance?

Post the law. Show me where it expands voting rights to non-citizens.

    Anyone that gets public assistance.
It was all over the news a month back or so.
It's not written in the law, come on now.
When has the law stopped bad actors in government and out?
Again, are you saying that non citizens are barred from public assistance or getting a drivers license?
Again, if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you, but it's got like 20,000 people living under it, sort of a fixer upper.

Ah, so the media got it right, didn't exaggerate to create outrage, and nailed any nuance. That sure sounds like our media.

No need to actually see the law or for the law to even be written. Got it.

None of this Afghan mess is a coincidence, IMHO. The rushed evacuation, refugee relocation, etc. Under "normal" times, citizenship does take some time. These are far from "normal" times. Wouldn't be one bit surprised if somehow TPTB suddenly granted citizenship to the Afghans. Get the woke crowd screaming racism or xenophobia for not granting them immediate citizenship and the pressure is on. :twocents:

Just my opinion. It's worth what it cost.

Why does it matter how long it takes for them to become citizens?
Because this whole conspiracy theory is about them voting. And despite the rumors non-citizens can't vote, and the lifetime LTCH isn't going away.
(IIRC, there was some uber-liberal city that was allowing non-citizen to for local elections; but nothing else to warrant all the tin-foilery.)

Besides, immigrants tend to align with Republican principles. Despite what you hear, heavy taxes, freebies for non-workers, assault on religion, gender fluidity, and shoving sexuality on kids don't appeal to immigrants who just want to come here for a safe, free life where they can work hard and get ahead. (especially Catholics from Central America).

It's not the immigrants looking for freebies, it's the Americans who grew up here and suckled on the govt teat all there lives. Most immigrants have never gotten a handout and are used to working hard just to eek out a living.

Maybe instead of the xenophobia and push back, we should be welcoming them into the freedom-loving mindset we espouse as Republicans.

A democrat brings them to America? Great, we'll make them Republicans! :patriot:

Just a note on your conspiracy theory.
    it is about voting.
it is about maintaining power. Maybe this batch will not come into play today but they will eventually play in at some level. Why is that so hard to see.

You are correct. They plan for the future. They've been planning for the future for the past 100+ years.

The Left does nothing without a reason. If they're specifically sending these refugees to swing states, there is a reason for it. I'll leave it to you to determine what that reason is.

Too many people don't seem to understand that this is all according to the Leftists plan for changing America. Open borders, refugees seeded in a manner that is specifically targeting swing states, campaigns against voter ID laws and pushing insecure mail in ballots. If you can't do the math on all of this, I feel very sorry for you, but hey, at least we don't have a President sending out mean tweets...
Did you see the census data?

It clearly shows the greatest increase in immigration in red states.

Did we all forget talking about how that if the Democrats won, we would never win another presidential election?

They would open the borders and with a generation, they would have a majority in every state.
