Another first-hand report for what it is worth:

First dose of Pfizer, not a problem, arm sore for a couple of days.
Second dose of Pfizer, aches and pains the following day with low fever, crawling skin and chills. Followed later by 6 hours of burning up feeling and insomnia. 3rd day symptoms subsided.

Nurse says that the stronger your reaction, the better your immune symptom is prepared... or something like that.

And for others, even though I took the vaccination, I still believe in individual choice and freedom. If you choose not to take it, that is entirely your right.

Because I decided to take it does not make me the enemy.

Because you choose not to take it I do not view you as the enemy.

Your suspicion and division is not helpful. Should I question those that declare the freedom of choice and then try to pigeon hole me because my choice was not the same as theirs? See how that works? I suck, you suck, we all suck as long as that is the way we insist on making it.

I just don't believe the pro-vax here when they say that it is up to the individual to choose what is right for them. Their posts in totality appear to me to convey their belief that everyone must get the vaccine...

There’s a BIG difference between thinking “everyone” *should* get COVID vaccinated, and “everyone” *must* get COVID vaccinated.

People can and should make their own decisions, but IMO that decision should be informed by real-world data and individual values - not speculation, misinformation, and irrational fear.

Ultimately, it should be YOUR call - SARS-CoV-2 ain’t smallpox.

The process of coercion to accept the jab is following the usual pattern of manipulation. If this doesn't get derailed and by the time it gets down and dirty, the majority of the public will have the "well they deserve what they got" attitude and let the state do what it wants.

It appears the plot is falling apart.

Without a mask, how can you tell if someone is vaccinated or not? Mask resistant and not vaccinated? I highly doubt that we will see secret police asking for proof of vaccination, not this time around anyway. Contact tracing didn't take hold very well.

If it was a big plot by the elitists, socialists, leftists, marxists, globalists, CCP, PLA, tri-lateralists, illuminati, Annunaki or serpent people from Saturn they are going to be pissed because somebody is dropping the ball and not following through on their plans.

Humanity is still here. Human fallibility is still on display. Our social hierarchy remains intact (or under attack if you prefer).

Never ascribe to malice or conspiracy that which can adequately be explained by ignorance or incompetence. Our own petty selfishness, bickering and pride will be the end of us before any surreptitious plot.

Maybe it depends if it's a public or a private hospital.
The majority of healthcare workers are not getting rich over that whole pandemic thing.

Clearly it would be more fair to share that money among frontline workers, instead of giving one freaking million to a random dude who just showed up to get a free vaccine.

Heck I'm sure other project in that state could use that much money.
Schools, food banks, homeless shelters, small businesses etc ... I'm sure many places could use 5 million dollars of taxpayer money.

Also people shouldn't need a monetary incentive to do the right thing.
Why should we assume that getting the shot is doing the right thing? I’m not opposed to it. Will get around to getting it myself. I don’t think of it as something even to consider as the right thing to do. It’s not a moral issue. I’m not doing it for humanity. That’s ridiculous.

If you get the shot because someone paid you $1M, good for you, but bad on the government who paid the prize with other people’s money.

If you get the shot to protect you and yours, great. If you don’t get it because you’re concerned about the risks, okay. Great. But if you get it to save humanity then it looks to me like you (rhetorical “you”) might tend to think less of the people who decide not to take the risk on an experimental vaccine.

And if one makes a choice, should they not be subjected to the consequences of that choice? Is that not liberty and freedom? I am not saying that the State should "do what it wants".

What would be unusual patterns of manipulation? Seriously, I want to know. Do you suggest that the State has any other means of governance?

If you choose not to eat and you are dying of starvation would you sit on the sidewalk and curse those that walk by with food in their hand? Would you hold them in contempt and disgust? Would that make you feel justified? Would that give your struggle meaning?

I’m all for consequences of choice but how is my choosing to not yet get the vaccine causing you ( a vaccinated person) any harm? What science is there to show that non vaccinated people must wear masks while those who have taken the shot are good to run around without.

this whole last 14 months everyone has said “trust the science”, but now people get ridiculed for asking for science?

this has to be what Soviet Union felt like. In the 70’s and 80’s.

An example of a pattern of manipulation. UofL announced that classrooms may now go without masks/social distancing, if everyone in the class is vaccinated. Well, so what if one person is not? Everyone has to wear masks and social distance even though there is confidence that the vaccine will prevent spread.

It’s the same pattern of manipulation as teachers have used in the classroom forever. Using peer pressure to enforce compliance. Punish the whole group for the actions of a few then the group will enforce the desired behavior.

I don’t need a lottery or a free beer/burger to agree to take the vaccine. All I need is the very limited liability that vaccine producers normally have to be reinstated for this vaccine.

we don’t know the long term effects, there is absolutely no way we can.heck we don’t even know if everyone who gets it is gonna start developing tumors or heart issues this time next year. So give me a little bit of financial protection that if I die from this my family at least will be taken care of. Instead if I take it and stroke out or drop dead we will end up with nothing. The vaccine courts are a form of social safety net so why drop it for this?

I give up. What are unusual patterns of manipulation? Perhaps the use of corporations to intimidate people into taking the jab? Only bringing that one up because it has been the stated intent internationally.
By people of serpentine if not Venusian mentality. :laugh6:
The usual patterns are often the same as you can see adopted on interseine forums. Denigration, ridicule, ad hominem attacks, attempts at emotional intimidation coupled with denials of intent if confronted. The same as people commonly see exercised by nation states before a war. Truth isn't in it but hey, people frequently resort to what works.

So the economy is taking a dump. Jimmy Carter era gas lines are reappearing. Rockets are flying in the Middle East. The vaccine distribution is waning despite movie stars and athletes promoting it.

Why do I feel the CDC mask announcement today (or at least the timing) has more to do with politics than it does with science?
And now looking at the calendar it becomes even more obvious there may be a political component to the timing. Remember Joe has a goal of 70% vaccination by July 4th.

So figure 1 week to get an appointment, wait at least 3 weeks after your first shot, then another 2 weeks to be considered fully vaccinated. So you are at six(6) weeks plus for full vaccination and July 4th is 7 weeks away.

Coincidence or are we truly following the science?

As of 6 a.m. EDT May 12, a total of 117,647,439 Americans had been fully vaccinated, or 35.4 percent of the country's population, according to the CDC's data.

The Moderna vaccine has not been approved for commercial use by the FDA. It can only be dispensed under an EUA as an experimental drug. They still don't have an approved vaccine.
The image doesn't say "approved for commercial use by the FDA"; it says "brought to market" and "made it through phase 3 clinical trials." Those have both happened.

I would argue that if it hasn't been approved for commercial use it hasn't been brought to market. We may just have to agree to disagree on this. Not that it matters one way or the other.
