It doesn't end in a question. We only sing one verse.
Hail Columbia, America the Beautiful would be a fine national anthem, but they're not. I don't care if it was twinkle twinkle little star, I would still show the respect that is deserved.
    I certainly stepped in it, didn't I?

Whoa - obviously some have an impression that I don't have the same level of respect - which none of anyone on INGO has ever been to a game with me - so you don't know that I do stand proudly and show honor and respect to flag and country I dearly love, and started down a path to its military service.

This thread started with a discussion, like Twangbanger wrote, that "this is why we can't have nice things", then it turned into a witch hunt. Obviously this is a very contentious issue, and I want no more to be a part of this thread.

OK....are you really that far out in orbit.

Large gatherings of patriots about to enjoy one of our coveted freedoms and they honor those who fought and died to make sure we could continue to do this.

Don't be a stooge man. The site is full of veterans that right now, You are dishonoring and you don't have a damned clue. Thats just sad man. Sad.

So lets do this....you surely just don't get it so don't post in here again please.

Enjoy your freedoms as you see fit but "DO NOT QUESTION" how we honor ours. Just don't.
I agree but why is a pass is given to those on here who put upside down flags as their avatar when they aren't in need of immediate help? Why are their political protests not considered disrespectful?

If I actually have to answer that then I just need to throw in the towel.
For crap sake people. Its an avatar not a flag flying over an embattled facility or do you really not see the difference.

He is making a statement that we as a society are in deep kimchee and partially due to some of the responses in this very thread. I have no idea who and what is going on in the minds of people who allege to support our rights as "GUN" owners.

It just keeps getting deeper and deeper.

You can believe as you will. That is your God given right under the documents that actually set all of this up. And I as a believer in those documents and the words on them will stand by you to defend your right to have an opinion. Agree or disagree makes me no never mind. It is what a patriot would and should do. That is what this entire thread is about peoples. I fear it is lost on to many of you.

You all enjoy your evenings. And remember how we all got here.

    Mouse out.

You don't think the country is in need of immediate aid? Besides which, are you confusing phylo selecting a picture off the internet with something he himself actually did? Do you fancy that you have a license to kill?

Real life and the internet have limited overlap

It still amazes me how many people are so engulfed in the professional sports, hypnotic money making machine.
And worse yet, the FANTASY land of sports.:ugh: The real crap isn't enough, so let's have a FANTASY TEAM to waste life on too!
Couldn't care less about these punks that get to be punks because of the freedom someone else paid for.
Screw them, Cuban and the broadcasting companies that glamorize them and support domestic terrorists.

You dont have to answer it to me. But you should certainly think it over. Flag code specifically says that it should never be flown upside down unless under dire distress. The flag isnt meant to be used to make a statement. Allowing any upside down flag to be displayed avatar or not is just crying wolf and when the time comes when you or I are in need of help none will come because people will brush it off as just a political statement.

    Of course.
They're trying to bring their ratings back.

I agree with you and I think they are so far over their skiis they'll never reel it back in.

IMHO it is a sour product at best and plays right in to the whole hip hop culture and green hair.

This whole selfie, look at me, craziness....

It isn't for me, never has been. College ball different story.

All this long money for a guy who dribbles, throws a ball in the hoop or stuffs someone that tries is just beyond me.

Baseball same same - money for nothing...Football, not so much - but I am not aligned with the pros at all bringing their politics to the game. I won't watch it.

    :faint:

I see your point. But did you see ours or did that just fly right by.

We all honor that flag. Some far more than others. Especially Phylo.
So those who stand on it/burn it/urinate on it get a pass I guess.

We are in distress my friend.

But I digress and yesterday was a seriously rough day and my responses showed as much.

Let's have a honest conversation about this. I too grew up doing the same thing, also prayers and pledge before HS football games. The Lord's Prayer in the locker room. I'm a proud American, and even prouder Baptist... and yet doing those things rarely reinforced my commitment to either; it was more routine than adherence... and I bet that's the same for a great many others who grew up the same way. Does there ever come a point where the constant routine waters down the original intent?
