Impeachment would probably be the remedy. Sadly the political parties have little stomach for holding their own responsible for their actions.
Agreed, on both parts. That leaves the courts, who have ruled her actions as unconstitutional, and the voters. One check and balance is working, the other has not yet had an opportunity.

Sadly I have little hope they will do so. It is some time still before she has to face the voters and they have very short memories.

Unless she serves prison time, there is no check and balance in play.
 for what? What criminal law did she break and what is the sentencing schedule for that statute?

The check in play is the Supreme Court of Michigan striking down her order as unconstitutional. According to the law she has some period of time before the court order goes into effect. She’s choosing to spend that time being a petulant *****. The state prosecutor is another check in play; he has said they will not prosecute violations of her order. When the 21 days is up, her orders are void. When she’s up for re-election we will see if the citizens of Michigan decide to hold her accountable for the orders and her behavior after the courts *****-slapped her.

Here’s the thing, if and when all that has failed, and somehow she finds a way to circumvent the court and the prosecutor’s office, and somehow manages to enforce her orders past the 21 days, despite the courts ruling, and even remedies against that fails, then maybe you can start thinking about alternatives. Before then that kind of thinking is not all that sane.

It would be interesting to live in a free society whereby the elected officials laid out facts as they knew them, deferred detailed discussion to knowledgeable scientists, proposed VOLUNTARY recommended prophylactic measures and solutions and stopped pointing fingers at everyone else.

Whitmer is an idiot. Who would have thought that someone felt she would be a good vp candidate?

She was the SJW candidate in 2018, and part of the "blue wave". She was elected in the wake of the Flint water scandal, which she was able to blame on the outgoing Republican governor's administration to some extent.

Yeah. Well as far as I know, Snyder was largely to blame for some very bad decision making and not only in Flint. Whitmer is a lunatic petty tyrant.

Maybe if we just let Michigan burn the voters will send her packing in the next election, even better would be a recall. I remember Gray Davis being shown the door in California, it finished his political career.

As a native son, I'd have to say that Michigan is one of the most beautiful states in the nation.

The residents? Not so much. :)

If I attempt to take away your rights through kidnapping you or other means, it doesn't matter if I actually manage to do it or not.

I get charged for merely attempting to do so.

Why is the same standard not applied here?
It's an infinitely more severe crime for her, as the impact of her actions are not against 1 person, it is against millions. Which would deserve a count for each individual affected.

Don't you see the dangerous similarities between that assertion and those who demand 'justice' for [fill in the latest cause célèbre of the left], where 'justice' actually means 'decide this case the way I want you to'

Also, the Lord has claimed vengeance as his own and enjoins us from giving way to wrath (for our own good)

Because you can't defend property with lethal force. If they try to enter through the window they broke all bets are off. In today's atmosphere. I would hate to be the test case if I had to shoot someone to prevent them from throwing a molotov through my window - but I think I could articulate a reasonable fear of great bodily harm or death

Please send foto of your driveway and front porch, including flags flown, if any, so that we may evaluate your remarks in context. :)

Actually, I'm looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet in the White House with less drama. Maybe an official cocktail hour. No tweeting.

Mid morning naps, mid afternoon naps, after dinner naps: 2-3 hrs. each minimum.
    Diaper changes +/- 1 hr.

You'll need to 'look forward' alright - to 2025

I don't think Pence tweets much, so 2025 - 2029 should be good for you

A class action suit against Mrs. Wittmer herself for unlawful detention.
