Mr. Optics, aka T-dogg, aka Carlos, aka Carlos Spiceyweiner, aka Young Punk #1, made sure that my black rifles got their optics dialed in for use and purpose. Things are now setup for hallway to 600 yards.

Anywhere inside the house is totally point and shoot for me. I intend to tighten these skills more in the coming year.

    Shoot more. absolutely.
    Rekindle old friendships.
    Shoot more.
    Loose a few more pounds.
    Shoot more.
Sounds like a solid plan that I might try to follow. So many cute jeans in my drawer that won’t fit - I was trying to fix that issue and then the holiday season hit. New Years it is I guess!

    Also, obviously shoot more. :ar15:

That's the way I read it - pick one from each group.

I'll take Buy more ammo and Lose 40 pounds...

Luckily, I don't have much on my list for 2020 in the gun world. Maybe a flintlock or something different, maybe a lever gun (but not not more than 3), maybe a Ruger No.1, maybe a cool stainless 1911, maybe another 22 something, maybe a small high velocity precision caliber. Could be something in 300 BO. A colt SP-1 and a 1903 would nice. Milsurp May is unknown but I "need" a K-98, an Arisaka, a Kragg, a 1917....

...of course, first it is medical expenses, tax, more medical bills, more taxes so that list will be culled significantly when reality sets in!

You don’t have much on your list for 2020. That’s only 15 by my count. We can help.

Lots of New Years resolutions. Anybody hurrying to get something in by the end of the year? You might be more motivated by resolutions if you work in a few last regrets?
So you’ll telling me I need to get wild in the next few days in order to make the most of 2020? This is why you’re the adult!

End of year deadlines are not a thing. What I need to get done will be just because of motivation. :):

I do want to start next year with as clean a slate as possible.

I'm thinking 2020 will be upgrades for various guns. I have three things on my wish list, but they aren't that high on the list, plus I am working my budget to get everything paid off next year. A few set backs this year, but I might still be able to do it.

    Wish list things:
    1) P-01
    2) Get out to the range more this year.
    3) HK VP9sk
    4) build a 1911 from scratch like I did with the AR.

I am good with waiting till 2021 for three out of the four on that list. I know, only one of those is a CZ thing.

Is that barrel the stock barrel or aftermarket?

I really like the look of the gold type barrels on some guns.

A P-01 (any variant) is an excelent choice!

    .
#2 son was out shooting the Winchester 92 and SAA until dark last night. Finally shot the steel 4 inch plates off the wooden stands. He'll probably buy one when he returns to Georgia as I told him he could find new ones in 45 Colt. That's a much easier cartridge to find than 44-40 these days. I'll be getting the stands repaired today while he is of clubbing with his brother in Indy this weekend.

I wasn’t happy with the fitment between the Gibbz upper and my PSA lower, so the Mrs got me an Aero M4E1 lower for Christmas. I’ve now completely rebuilt my budget x39 rifle and it’s no longer really a budget rifle. Due to how it all worked out I do have a budget 223 Wylde on PSA receivers now.
You attempting to have a "budget" rifle or pistol is akin to CM attempting to leaving something stock. LOL :)

I don't really like to shoot AR's much, but this kinda draws me in every time I see it. What do you guys think? I like the price and I've heard these are decent not much in the way of frills AR's:

    https://grabagun.com/ruger-ar-556-mpr-18-30rd-8538-american-flag-cerakote-223rem-5-56nato.html

Yup, that's a good price. I paid $100 more for my 10.5" pistol version, but it was in short supply at the time.
The only thing that I don't like is the design of Ruger's BCG......the bolt was way tight. I cleaned and lubed it well before shooting it, and it ran fine. Still....I might swap it for a NIB BCG.

Go for it, WT ! :patriot:

Getting a new (to me) truck before the end of the year. And possibly a new (to me) 1911. Then I'm done for 2019.
