The "study" said that breastfeeding is natural and good.

It's the left that is screaming about it "reinforcing" traditional gender roles.

Ah. Thanks for the clarification. I was afraid to go actually read such nonsense, so I didn't follow the link. Plus I was stuck on the picture. Lucky kid.

IWF - Study: Describing Breastfeeding as ?Natural? Is Unethical Because It Reinforces Gender Roles
Study: Describing Breastfeeding as ‘Natural’ Is Unethical Because It Reinforces Gender Roles

It’s “ethically inappropriate” for government and medical organizations to describe breastfeeding as “natural” because the term enforces rigid notions about gender roles, claims a new study in Pediatrics.

“Referencing the ‘natural’ in breastfeeding promotion… may inadvertently endorse a set of values about family life and gender roles, which would be ethically inappropriate,” the study says.
Unless such public-service announcements “make transparent the ‘values and beliefs that underlie them,’” they should quit describing breastfeeding as “natural.”

Well if "dad" is going to do the breast feeding, that kid is gonna be hungry...

Except for the facts that, 1) it is natural, 2) the set of values are endorsed "advertently" (and should be), 3) the "rigid" notions about gender roles are correctly based on biological fact and should be enforced, and 4) making transparent those values and beliefs is part of the intent and correct to do so.

And do you think facts will work with people that make statements like that?
