You seem to keep a rather fictionalized sort of "survivalists" hanging around

"Survivalist" as in, "There's an emergency! We've survived a water landing! What do I need to do right now to survive? Is it -20F outside? Better get shelter before food!"

Your "bullet-hoarding" survivalist won't make it without necessary food, shelter or first aid.

My point exactly, coupled with the fact that there are already too many here living off of someone else, why import more?

The Libs are building another block of Lib voters. That is the sole purpose here. Just like Hispanics and other groups.
Anyone that does not see this needs to open their eyes. Jesus has very little to do with this.

Then let a country a couple miles closer to Syria feed, house, and fix boo-boos for them?

Jesus would be so proud of you right now.....

If you are so concerned about their welfare, you're welcome to travel to the Middle East and help out in anyway that you can and I'd applaud you for that. To demand that everyone else risk their well being in pursuit of satisfying your "concern" by foolishly importing potential terrorists utterly betrays you though. "Love thy neighbor" is not a command to embrace suicide nor to enable evil...........

There you go again. Put YOUR resources where your mouth is. Your personal obligation to help other humans is not absolved by forcing other people to do it for you.

In Syria, I think Pence nailed it last night. If we're going to help, the most helpful thing we could do is help them be safer in their own land, in their own culture. I'll gladly give America permission to spend a portion of my tax dollars to help create well protected safe zones in Syria.

And if you'd like to join me in helping personally, let's agree on a charity that goes towards helping people in Syria, and I'll match your donation.

im not concerned with their welfare at all, I don't want to house, feed, and fix their boo-boos, on my dime! There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason to fly them half way around the world and give them other people's money! Again, there are plenty of people here that already take more than their fair share, why import more, especially the ones that don't want to assimilate into modern society?

Believe I read somewhere that establishing secure refugee camps in Syria is far more cost-effective than shipping the folks all over the world.

Wait a minute...Are we talking Jesus my Lord and Savior or Jesus that cuts lawns???? I believe these political matters fall under "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and render under God that which is God's"......

I love how Democrats get all Jesus-y when it comes to immigration but less so when it comes to marriage...Kind of funny really....Transparent for sure....

...Spend state resources to fulfill an ETHICAL mandate. We do it with every large natural disaster.

Important distinction: victims of "natural" disasters aren't classified as "refugees," and hence cannot be imported as new voters.

So, you have to do what Bill and Hillary did in Haiti: steer relief contracts to your business cronies and get rich off them right where they're at:

Quite a LOT of Katrina victims didn't return to NOLA once the flooding was gone. I suspect they're classified somewhere as "internal refugees", and I'm sure they'd be eligible to vote immediately in their new locations.
