How can you stand to work in Carmel? Wouldn't Bloomington be a better fit, better yet IUPD? Forget Indy send the refugees to Bloomington they can give them big welcoming hugs like they did the homeless that started congregating down there.

Carmel likes to think of itself as conservative, but it's full of SJWs. I'm well more conservative than most my neighbors, and most of the department.

I'd never heard of that site either. I briefly scanned it when you posted it but didn't scour it. It wasn't until I went back to look at it again, and I looked at some of the other tabs, did it occur to me what sort of people it is aimed towards.

Not all agendas are created equal. I'll tolerate most conservative ramblings, but when those ramblings start to "goose step," it's difficult to hold my tongue.

Is "tolerate" the right word? Should I tolerate YOU? What the hell choice do I have? The detente I came to with fire ants was true tolerance. There's nothing I can really do about differences in opinions we might have.

dictionary.com says tolerate means "to refrain from interfering with or prohibiting (something undesirable or outside one's own practice or beliefs); allow or permit."

If I say I'll tolerate you, your response should be, "oh the **** you will! I'll opine however the **** I want." You don't need my permission to have an opinion and I don't need yours. Neither of us have any say in the matter. Tolerance of your opinions is not mine to give. Not tolerating opinions does not mean not holding your tongue. Not holding your tongue is expressing your opinion.

I say this not because I'm trying to forward the phony "I want to be accepted, not tolerated" blather. I don't have a right to be accepted. I do have a right to my own opinions regardless of how much they incite you to ridicule me.

They weren't refugees. Their parents were granted asylum, a different process entirely. The brothers were granted the same asylum status. The vetting process is considerably different.
