Man, there were some people there that don't believe in showering. Whew.

    Sorry about that.

Just kidding. But I smelled some of those people too. I had a good time today. Found a good price on Hodgdon Titegroup, met up with an old Army buddy, had Dean sharpen my Benchmade, and walked out with a pair of Izula II's. Thanks Brad and Dean!

I was there for about three hours today and could not believe how some folks smelt! Then I got on here and see that I was not the only one!

Some of the ammo prices were pretty jacked. Saw a few tables with American Eagle 6.8 SPC 20 round boxes at $14.98 and up. I buy that online for $9.99. Spent some time talking with Jeff from Johnson safe. Will be placing my order with him on Monday. Also stopped and talked with Alan (and wife) from A+A optics. Always enjoy hearing him give advice on optics. Fun show for sure and very packed.

I was there today (Saturday) from about 1:30 to 4:00. I felt like it was pretty quiet as well. Ammo prices seemed pretty good, with .22lr being the exception. Picked up a few miscellaneous small things, nothing too exciting.

Whew is right! There was some serious crop-dusting going on as well.

Maybe the show needs "Hygiene Police".

"I'm sorry sir but your stinkOmeter reading far exceeds an acceptable level. The National Guard is providing free showers in the portable shower unit located in the Swine Barn. You will also be provided new sweatpants, tshirt and flip-flops to replace the crappy WalMart sweatpants, tshirt and flip-flops you have been wearing since the last 1500."

    Seriously!

I got there around 10am and I guess I was lucky the "odor" wasn't "in the house" yet. It wasn't as crowded as in the past and there were some empty tables and some high prices. I base a vendor's firearms prices on their lowest type of gun and in these cases, Hi-Point. If they are over priced, then I assume the other guns will be too. One vendor had a Hi-Point .45 cal rifle for around $350! Really!? There were a lot of rifles too but very few AKs.
I bought stuff including another complete lower from Recoil Gun Works. If anyone hasn't seen their booth, they should check it out. Great prices and great people and they are Indiana based.

I had a good trip thru the show today. Found a few trinkets and my usual jerky treats. I didn't notice anyone being especially rank and didn't notice any crop dusting. I pissed off a vendor right at the end. I was needing another sling for one of my Revere's Riders rifles. I saw them earlier in the day at $20 at this guys bench but I bought them a couple years ago for $12 each so I wasn't too thrilled to pay $20. At the end of the day, I figured I'd go ahead and get one. As the guy was was covering up his wares, I picked up one of the slings and handed him a $20. He said tax made it $21.40. That kind of rubbed me the wrong way as I hadn't paid sales tax on anything I had bought so far. I didn't want to break another $20 to cover the tax so I said never mind, I'll pass. He started moaning and *****ing but said go ahead and take it for the $20. He was still whining and *****ing when I got to the end of the aisle.

Can't make everybody happy I guess,

And you can still buy them at Bradis II or the AS store for $12... But you were already there so factoring in convenience and/or gas its a wash.

But yeah, screw him. You bought his overpriced bit of cloth and steel. He should have been happy.

if I knew Bradis had them I'd have saved $8. Bradis is only a few minutes from my mothers house. I try to visit her every couple weeks.

And the ones on AS are MUCH better. They are combat quality, powder coated, and heavy gauge steel.

The one I bought at Bradis was a cheap chinese knock-off by comparison. Noticeably lighter hardware and softer webbing. Still good enough for an AS/RR shoot.

I bought too much. I'll be selling some other stuff I don't use much to cover the cost. :):

I went on Friday and was surprised there wasn't a bigger crowd. There was a decent line before the door opened but I expected with elections in the news and everything else going on politically it would be packed. Seemed like for the size of the show though there were less gun dealers and more accessory vendors; not necessarily a bad thing just an observation. I still walked away with a good deal on a gun that I wasn't planning on buying so I can't complain. Almost picked up some 5.56/223 ammo that I thought was an okay price but made an unintended gun purchase first so nixed the ammo.

Went yesterday (Friday) and picked up a pound of Accurate #9, CCI SP and LP primers, and two 40mm ammo cans. I was hoping to find some Hodgdon Universal and Alliant Power Pistol, but no-go. Wasn't busy at all.
