Got a feeling the wife is about to give me the Ultimatum..... She hates it as well as my daughter now. Dont know if I am up for the sacrifice that it would take to keep the goatee.

In. Cut it all a few years ago in the spring to please She Who Must Be Obeyed. I lived up to my part of the agreement. She didn't. And the kids called me 'frog face.' So it stays on all year now.

I've been under pressure for the last few weeks to trim up my beard from the wife. She likes a short beard that looks groomed, but I've let mine pretty much go (few trim ups) since my son was born in June. I kept telling her it was my "playoff beard" during the last month or so of her pregnancy, and I would cut it when our son was born. Once my beard gets to where it is today, I can't really trim it up, as the guide on the trimmers gets clogged up, and it just pulls my beard.

I've obviously been putting off the trimming thing, and was about to cut it off last night to please the wife. I didn't get around to it last night, I was too tired to mess with it. Anyway, this morning I got a text from the wife while I was at work saying, "just saw on Twitter that November is National beard month. Can't shave it now! I'll have to wait another 30 days!"

I'll be participating at least in the mustache portion, haven't decided about a full beard. I haven't shaved in about two weeks now, and it still looks terrible, I'm not sure I can even grow a real beard by the end of November.

I'm getting started early, maybe I can eventually get a decent beard...what recommendation do you guys have for beard trimmers? I got a Remington beard trimmer from walmart, and battery life sucks and it feels cheap.

Nothing. That is what I use. When I go to the barber (yes, actual old school barber not an extension of the kitchen full of Women's magazines and screaming brats), he'll trim up the really bad strays just to give it a little shape. He uses scissors.

My beards a-growin' No court for a while, so I can risk looking homeless until it fills in.

My hair, mostly pepper, a little salt.

    My beard....all salt. Oh well.

Nothing! Real beards don't need no dag on trimming!
