Uzi............after you forced me to look thru your NOD's, I now truly hate you.

You are going to cause me to sell a kidney!

Depending on what you want; you may be looking at getting rid of a kidney, half of your liver, a lung, some bone marrow, plasma, and maybe a few pints of blood.

But just think of the shiny new toy you would have....

This pretty much confirms it for me:

    Before/During: Shooting a 5.56 round through an AK47 - YouTube

After: 5.56 shell after shot from AK47 - YouTube

    NSFW due to language.

Looks like pretty much the exact same result to me.

I was sorting some of the brass from Veterans Day and came across this:

    10fqjo7.jpg

The case is a steel Wolf .223 case. Not only is it split, but it has deformed by expanding. My first guess is that someone accidentally shot a .223 round in a larger chamber, like a 7.62x39 (if that is even possible). Notice that the area above the shoulder is very long, much longer than a standard .223.

As a reloader and shooter, I was curious what happened. I didn't remember anyone mentioning a problem however, I wasn't at the range all afternoon. Does anyone know about this case and how it happened? How did the firearm react?

I took just a few pics on Veterans Day.

Everyone coped very well with the weather. I always hope for a dry day, but a little rain or mist can't get INGOers down!

I've known DaKruiser and HotPocket for several years now and they are some of the finest people I know.

Mrs. Lawman was fearless! She would shoot anything and come away smiling. :)

HotPocket took her turn with the MG42.

I wasn't sure if the hickory post would be enough of a challenge for the big machine gun, but part way through Veterans Day, it was clear that the 8mm beast would eventually win.

Range Clean-Up -- Thanks to the NFA Day Participants

Because of the wet and muddy weather earlier this week, I haven't done any work on the range until today.

By Sunday night, the red ATV and wood cart had mud built up on them almost an inch thick in places. Bwframe came down yesterday and we powerwashed everything that had been at the range. We washed canopies, tables, and tons of tarps. I really appreciate his help as event clean-up is much more involved when it rains.

Today, I went to the range to blow some of the leaves away so the ground could dry. I intended to also look for any brass that was left. I was amazed. I have never seen the range so completely cleaned up. There wasn't any brass left anywhere. Wow!

This thank you is for both Saturday and Sunday shooters. You all did a marvelous job of gathering trash, moving gear, and policing the brass. I really appreciate the help you all gave to me. :yesway:

    p.s.
Altogether, the shooters of NFA Weekend created 303 pounds of spent cases and hulls. They filled five 5-gallon buckets and a one gallon tub!

Robby, did you make the zombie targets? Very very nice! I enjoyed blasting a couple of their heads off! Thank you!

It was a team effort. Evan wanted different targets and we both came up with the zombie idea. Though zombies are overdone, it was a way to make targets with appendages that could be shot off, and give the attendees something new to try. I printed them, and stuck them (basically really big stickers) with the help of LMW & ROADIE. LMW then contour cut them.

They seemed to have worked well, and served their purpose. I know all day, everyone was trying to remove heads or arms. It was a great sense of satisfaction when the shotguns came out and heads started to roll! lol

I'd been wanting to do disintegrating cut-out targets for the past 2 years, but didn't have the resources. When Robby told me what he could do, I was thrilled! He was able to create EXACTLY what I had envisioned. He's a good communicator and a fantastic graphic artist. The final product required a group effort (especially the destruction ;)) and I'm very thankful to all involved.

Maybe big cut-out pictures of the mod staff for next year? :dunno:

We toyed with the idea-- for like a minute. But there was something about shooting pictures of actual people that didn't sit well with the organizers.

Maybe mods who turned into zombies so they are not really actually people anymore. :):

Any more pictures out there that people haven't posted yet? I noticed a lot of camera work on Sunday, but haven't seen a lot of it in this thread. I posted my meager few, so the rest of y'all break out those memory cards and get posting. :)

I don't think zombies are overdone at all!
Great design! They held up well, like you said, until the shotguns came out.(but held up well even then!)
i was lucky enough to knock off one arm and at least one (I think two) head(s)!
The machine guns are fun, but I have as much fun with the shotguns! I think I surprised Big Craig when I told him the Serbu was my favorite gun of the day.
If only the MG-42 would last more than four or five seconds!

    Video's

This video is NOT really about the suppressor. That is a distraction. The revolver is a WW1 era mauser (IIRC). That thing has a 20++ lb trigger pull when you don't cock the hammer back prior to pulling on the trigger. Beautiful handgun, cool history.
