Our trap club did this. We ordered 5 standard pallets of the same shell. We did save some money, not a lot per box savings. We saved a little over $6 perflat. Savings add up if you are taking home 25 flats. Since the club had a fork lift tractor, we were able to handle the unloading weight.

I do not know if this would be considered a good price, but the new ad from Gander Mountain has Federal X193 priced at $800 for 2000 rounds. At least it is a reference.

How many flats on a pallet? I assume shotgun shells, for your club. So this
might mean nothing to our situation. But good to know!

The Gander price is about par for what I have seen per 1Krounds. par for
    BEST Pricing.
My LGS quoted me 50 cents/round for brass, and 30 cents/round steel. So
40 cents/round bulk is good. If I cannot beat that by much, it is not worth
the trouble for any of us, except the folks who cannot buy 1K at a time.

19 interested parties by my count. :yesway:

62 grain, Brass so far seems to be the idea. 55 is more common, what is the ballistics
difference between these? I'd like the stability over a smaller round, as I only expect
to shoot a max of 300 yds, prolly.

Pending details, in for @ least 1K, if price is right, 2K

Well Mr. Butch, I'd like to know what would be the right price range. (TIA)
All I know is that we need under $400/thou. or 40 cents/round so far.
I have seen that a couple places, for USA ammo in brass.

I'm thinking we'll need at least 25Krounds to get a "deal".
What are you guys looking for in a price range?

$0.40/rnd is about what you find if you look around. In the current market, $0.35 seems to me like it would be a good deal. If that were the cost of it shipped and included any applicable taxes, I could get on board.

I would also be interested in PRVI, since it is what I have around. But any major brand of brass cased 5.56 (not .223) would be good. I prefer 55gr over 62gr.

I think the last batch of pmc I picked up was around .38/round after shipping. Anything that beats that and I am interested (providing it puts the projectile out the barrel I am happy)

I can source remanufactured, reloadable brass cased 55 gr FMJ-BT for $320/1000 as is. I'd want to see damn near $300/1000 in a group buy of 25K+, but I've got enough on hand to hold me through until it comes back down, so that's just my opinion.

I think $320 would be very reasonable and $300 would be great.

Count me in, I've seen some really incredible prices on huge quantities of 7.62 NATO when purchased in quantities of 12,000 rounds.

I'm sure it would be VERY easy to get 24 people here to commit to a 24,000 round purchase.

Problem for the manufacturer is that they would not want to ship to multiple people, but only to a single point of contact, etc. and from there it would have to be shipped out to us.

Not sure if, in the end, we would save that much.

But sure would be fun to try!

I believe we are talking about brassed cased, loaded ammunition vs steel cased, loaded ammunition.

Correct! NEW, Complete ammo. Brass casings.

However, I have seen premium brass casings for 28 cents each
Getting down around 30 cents for loaded ammo might be a bit much to ask.
