2017 mushroom thread

little early here yet but hear of some found in Ky........post them when you find them......

I think it is going to be a really early year. My shiitake mushroom logs were fruiting briefly in January.

Hopefully I run on to one like this 2016 one found in Missouri.

I do get them in my yard under one pear tree anywhere from 10-40 grey white. About one week are I find them in woods

my neighbor showed me 2 he found in his yard on the 7th last tueday. had them in a dixi cup

Talked to a guy on Thursday and he found some in Washington county

You guys are horrible bastards. Winter does not really get to me until people start asking if anyone is finding mushrooms yet.

Question for the old pros.
some of the Morels I found yesterday seem very dry. Still ok? Is there a point when they are no longer good? If you leave them a few extra days, will they get bigger? Or is it you get what you get?

^^^The dry ones will hydrate when soaked in water. I have let some go and watched for a couple of days, they didn't get any bigger.
