I didn't click on the vid, but I have to say I've never seen a built 80% lower is worth the money on drill bits.

It's something just because you could, doesn't mean you should. Probably they are for the people who can't buy guns.

I'd take a $40 Anderson lower any day.

I paid attention to all the other points he made. I don't have any experience on 80% lowers.

The old saying that he's an ******* but he's right. The majority of 80%'s probably aren't as reliable as others.

There are people out there using lowers like this:

    Sorry, I respectfully disagree...

I don't think I would be skilled enough to get one right. Oh, I could probably make one work pretty well, but for how much hassle it is to do all the work by hand, I'd rather just buy one. Once it gets bad enough that they're using zip ties and chairs, mass arrests, and coming door to door, you're done anyway. At that point you don't hide, you shoot back. The trick is to not let it get that bad. Anybody with access to the news, or the internet can see what happens to countries that get that far gone.

JY may be an ass, but I'd bet he's right 70% of the time.

near Bedford on a whole lot of land.
Just because I can I did. I have a better appreciation of the process. A friend with a decent cnc setup made one that looks better than the Anderson. Mine was pretty decent with the jig and I have a few set away just because. I have a few thousand rounds through the one I made with no issues thus far.

I never click on his videos anymore as when I have in the past I invariably just think of him as an annoying prat and attemtion whore. Whatever message he has tends to get lost in that.

Price it out on the anodizing? ever touched bare aluminum with your hands?

    meh.

If I wanted cool graphics, there are plenty of places can do it on a real lower.

    It's getting cerakoted, and sbr'd.
Sure, lots of places can do it on that side...
This side is a whole 'nother issue entirely...

Those are sweet! Would like to do an 80% myself, but too many irons in the fire. Not sure why people are dead set that it can't work.
