Got my reserved seats for myself and 7 of my closest friends for opening Sunday. (couldn't get everyone's schedules together earlier). I would have loved to see the IMAX version, but I can't do the 3D. I just want a plain old IMAX, not the new fangled 3D IMAX....

Some movies just HAVE to be seen on the big screen. This is one of them. Wife and I will let the frenzy die a bit and see it some weekday matinee btw Christmas and New Years.

That being said, Lucas claims he bailed on this one because it's being "made for the fans". Could be good.

I dunno, any child-like excitement I might have was destroyed by Lucas and the prequels. And I grew up eating, breathing, and sleeping Star Wars!

My kids (8 and 5) are excited, which makes me happy for them. I will go see the movie with no expectations, and hopefully it is everything they are hoping for.
