The best engine I've ever heard is a P-51 with a Rolls Royce Merlin

Love the sound of a Turbo Diesel, turbo spinning up from a dead stop, the clatter, etc. Diesel is the way to go! Such a shame the DEF and DPF are mandatory now...totally killed such great engines. Cummins 5.9L and Ford 7.3L and 6.0L are my faves, although the 6.0L is not that great of an engine overall with all the maintenance issues...

Oh, and did I mention the diesel fumes? Love them!

I would so love to have a Ford F250 diesel...if I could afford it...Black extended or crew cab short bed...with all the fun toys!

The ZO6 has a great motor, but I don't like the sound of it. Sure it sounds powerful & mean, but the LS1 just has that smooth rumble.

Turbocharged 404 and 466 Deere engines.

My 1997 F250 7.3 with 4" exhaust.

I love the sound of a turbo-charged diesel.

a 6.5L turbo with 4" exhaust and open air box!!!!!!......my ol' 94 Burb gets lot of looks for the sound!!!.....not so much for looks..

I have to go with a shovelhead or Panhead Harley on points with the timing turned down just a little so you get that slow thump, just like the old John deer's... Nothing better !!!
