What was your first Handgun?

First ever was an import 36 cal brass frame Colt Navy copy ( at about age 15) . First rimfire was an FIE Buffalo Scout 22 lr SA. Centerfire was Smith Model 10 4".

My Father-in-law gave me a XD40 with a Surefire X300 attached, the day his daughter (my then fiancee) moved out into her first apartment.

It was a really neat gesture, he handed me the case and said that it was my job to protect her now. I since traded him that XD40 back for a Glock 23 (he didn't like the Glock at all, but he loved the XD, so I "made" him trade me for it)...

Smith&Wesson 5904 9mm, my neighbor who was a cop carried it for 9 years then sold it to me for cheap so it could carry on. Absolutely love the gun

At 16 it was a Colt New Frontier .22 with a 7 1/2" barrel

My first was a little Baretta semi that broke at the breach and had a 6 round magazine. It only fired 22 shorts but it was a lot of fun for a soda can killer.
