I don't plan on making money off of fellow gun owners. My fellow gun owners are people who don't panic buy and who maintain stocks of materiel so that in times of shortage and need they have plenty. My fellow gun owners maintain a level head and plan accordingly. No, I plan on making money off the people who only buy a box of ammo on the way to the range or one pound of powder at a time, then freak out and pay far more than the production value and usual markup accounts because they are too shortsighted to plan ahead for these easily foreseeable problems. Those people are not my fellow gun owners, they are fudds.

It depends on what you are stocking up for: temporary panic induced shortages, or collapse of society.

I increased my stocks of stuff when it was plentiful and cheap and would not cause anyone else to not be able to do the same thing, because of the first one, so I can relieve the panickers of their excess cash when they do panic, as they are wont to do. I don't seriously believe the second one is a high probability and my overall preps as a survivalist gives me peace of mind in case of the off chance society does collapse.
Bolded for emphasis and rep sent.

IMHO it could very well be bad either way. No matter what the outcome there will be a huge number of people that feel the election was "rigged" for the winner. Social unrest may very well be the norm for a while. (like it isn't already)
BUT to answer the question, ammo, non perishable food and water.

Which one, or all locations ?????

I purchased at the Carmel store. I thought the sale was only last weekend, however - I think this pricing was part of their Gloctober event (10/21-10/23). You may want to call before making a special trip over.

I think it should also be pointed out that you don't let anyone know what you've stocked up on. For some strange reason family and friends think your preps are now their preps as well. They take offense when you don't give them what they want at the price you paid, (or less) instead of letting them have it for the replacement cost.

Just this past weekend I had a shooting buddy suggest that if he runs low on powder or primers he would just get them from me. I think I upset him when I informed him that I wasn't coming off anything I had stocked up on so he was out of luck if that's his plan. The way I see it is everyone had the same opportunity I had so if they decided to wait until things get scarce instead of stocking up when it was plentiful then that's their problem not mine.

Back in 2013 as soon as I found out about the shooting I call my brother and told him to stock up on ammo and mags but he told I was stupid, days later he call me asking for my help to find ammo and mags. Ever since he actually learned his lesson and let's just say that he is well prepared.

You know the saying, hope for the best prepare for the worst. If hillary wins there's gonna be a huge panic buy (especially if the dems take the senate) and, like many others, I want to get while the getting's still good. Got maybe $500 to spend, I'm thinking a few stripped lowers and some mags. I remember lowers practically tripled in price in the aftermath of sandy hook, so those seem like a pretty solid investment. And you can never have too many mags, but I wonder if I should get ammo instead? Maybe a bit of everything, diversify.
back when I was still a drinker I would have said beer. after all everyone likes to drink when they are depressed. :alcoholic:

in any case I usually don't have a lot of spare money around so I tend to always be buying little bits and bobs as I am able and so I am usually stocked up on the items I use at any given time.

huh, deja vu, I was just somewhere that I saw something just like this one... (pretty sure it didn't have the little stars on top though)

    heh
The one I worked on was a newer mod of the one in the photo, which appears to be either a mod 7 or mod 8.
I worked on a mod 10, then a mod 9, both of which only had the one plexiglass "bubble" on the port side of the gun (that's left side to you landlubbers), and there were no stars on the gunsight windows.

Same thing with a few of family on my side. They were a bit put off when I told them that showing up empty handed with no skills past using the newest phones would get them escorted off the property.
Same with a few others outside the family. My kids try and get their friend to stash supply's (even just rainy day) and they say they will just show up and hang with them or "Us" as the main plan entails. They look shocked when I tell them the same thing.

Just before all that madness I was re-stocking the ammo cabinet for the coming year. I had some discretionary cash on hand so that was my goal.
When I filled my last order and went to bed I had no idea what was coming. The next day you could not find much of anything. Luck and timing played out here.
I had ammo just not what I normally kept on hand.

I placed a large (large for me anyway) ammo order from AIM this past week, 9mm, .223/5.56, and 7.62x39. Hopefully nothing will happen and I will be well stocked for future shooting trips for the coming year. One thing I always keep in mind, is ammo never gets cheaper, buy today for tomorrow it will be more.

Yup. Surprised even though they can save up just the same as you can save.
