I was one who counted my .357 as a .38 also.

Perhaps I was an oddball. I ticked .357 but not 38 because, while I can load and shoot 38, I never do.

I don't have/load/shoot 41 Magnum but I saw some forum traffic about it recently. That is one to consider but will probably not be as common as the ones above.

Just scrolled through the handgun ammo list on ammoseek. I think we've covered most of the big ones. The only others that caught my eye were 50AE and 7.62x38R Nagant. And I think someone above mentioned 5.7x28 and 25acp. Honestly, those 2 should probably be the choices.

I'm actually surprised that the % that have at least one 9mm isn't closer to 100%. Not that I'm a fanboy or anything (I'm diverse) just would have expected that it would be the one that everyone had at least one of.

I thought the same about .22LR. There's no reason to not have a .22 pistol.

The only reason I have a 9mm is because I bought a collectable milsurp 9mm a couple of years ago.

Might add .38 super. Though I don’t know how popular it is in the US. I know it’s much more popular in Mexico because despite being a narco state with more murders than the US even with less than half the population, civilians can’t legally get “military calibers” from what I understand.
