Interesting. Saw several new ones at the last Indy 1500. They were $550-579 range.
I'd love to have one as I have a mini-14 and would love to have a mini-30 but what I see in Fort Wayne (Wrigley's is the only place i see them) they are always right around the $900 mark. Mini-14s have been the same way and neither stay on the rack long.

The Ruger ranch is a bolt action or at least I thought what OP was referring too. If you meant mini-30 ranch, understand! Those are up there. I was looking for one (bolt action) in 6.5 Grendel, even a predator but no luck. One of the vendors that had 7.62x39 in both models was ZX Gun.

I don't shop ZX in Fort Wayne. The few times I've been in there I've gotten rude attitudes from some of the sales people.

I had one of these Ubertis in a 6 round, but when I found out there was a 12 round cylinder, I wanted it but never come across a used one.
The one I shot was surprisingly accurate for fixed sights.

Buying for me the only thing I need that I don't have is a P322.
I had intended to buy a Sig 322 when I could get one for the MSRP $400 Sig originally priced.
Might not get around to it & not in any hurry though, since I recently picked up a Taurus TX Competition 5" & a KelTec CP33 & a couple of nice Browning Buckmarks & am enjoying.

    The Rival.

This one is $528 last time I checked and it's $20 shipping and no taxes.

You have to use email price to get the lower price.

To be clear, I'm not actually looking at the moment, just fantasy shopping for the purposes of the thread. The Rival is on my eventual want list but it is well behind some other firearms that unforntunately cost a bit more than $500.

The one on my bucket list that is closest to the $500 limit would be a lever action rifle in .357....Unfortunately, haven't found one in a shop or even private sale in that range....hoping one of these days I can cross it off my wish list...

In the spirit of this thread there are many firearms I’d like to have. Stuff just keeps coming out. Just saw an announcement for a 3” optics ready Taurus revolver that would be cool.

But I’m in the stage of life where I should have a much larger retirement portfolio so I’m shifting from being a consumer to putting more into investments that provide a better return.

I did suffer a moment of weakness in 2022 when I bought my TX22C but I consider that an investment that will pay me back in ammo savings and allow me to continue longer in this hobby/sport.:) I am very happy with that purchase.

That Ruger Ranch is going to cost at least $900 if you're buying new. I've see used ones sell for $700-800.

They pop up on gundeals for under $500 all the time. Don't buy from crappy scalper LGSs or Gunbroker.
