Finally gather enough courage to paint the project AR pistol. How'd it turn out?

If any of our local FFL open up i plan on buying parts from Aero Precision to build a 308. Im hoping at least one opens tomorrow so I can at least get my lower ordered in. I've got a 10% off code for Aero Precision so I kind of want to get it all at once and save 10% off off my whole order.

Wasn't much of a project but I swapped barrels on my 450 bushmaster. Had a 16" barrel prior but I found a great deal on a factory bushmaster chrome lined 20" barrel, so I went for it

I actually did a little work on a firearm lately. I swapped a scope from my 10/22 over to my Weatherby .22. I have been having problems with my 10/22 and really am not sure if I want to put $100's of dollars into it with Kidd triggers and all that so I'm going to see how the Weatherby does.

I imagine it is way better than I am.

I finally picked up an inch-lb torque driver so I am a lot more comfortable with torquing all the small screws that firearms have.

I picked up this older Browning Hi-Power in nickel finish off gunbroker recently. It's a bit unusual in that it is a MKII HP but has the MKIII firing pin safety which I like. The advantage to having a MKII is in getting the sights cut, especially for a Novak cut. I've since stripped it down, ripped the sights off, and sent it off to Mahovsky's to get the nickel stripped. I had wondered about doing a project with a nickel base gun but it is only 30.00 to strip it so it's reasonable. While the frame and slide are off I bobbed and did a no-bite modification to the hammer, dehorned the slide release and polished the sear and trigger lever. I took some 320 grit to the barrel and it cleaned up nicely, looks new and isn't as shiny as the photos make it look, it's about what a factory barrel would look like. I also polished the feed ramp. When I get it back I will send it to Novaks for some sights, stipple the frame, dehorn everything, bevel the magwell, and do the trigger job. I also took off the nubby MKII safety and bought a left side MKIII safety, i'll shorten the pin and round it as I won't be having an ambi.

I did a full disassemble, and cleaning of my Spanish Mauser. Oh man did it need it. To be honest, it still needs it again... but it's way better than it was when I found it at the gun show.

Ordered some parts to change up my .243 a bit...

Finished up a 9mm AR build that had been sitting on a back burner for many months. This was easy, just lacked 4 parts.
