    Does it work?

No. At least not here. I used to joke that the callers would start upping the ante. "They're in tanks! And they are fighting ninjas! The ninjas are riding dragons!"

I know the "main" cop there. That's Southport PD, he's a reserve with them and a full time deputy with MCSD.

It also proves the police adage, "he without a shirt on is he who goes to jail first."

Wow. That camera man seemed to be instigating a bit. I never heard anything about a gun til he opened his mouth on the dispatch call.

If it were me, I would walk straight the hell out and leave with our kids while calling to inform. McDonald's has their own cameras, no need to keep myself' or even worse, my kids... in harms way.

If th cameraman really believed the "perp" had a gun, then he was really brave or really stupid standing in front of the door and not letting him out!

I hate to tell you this, but almost everyone that calls in a fight says someone has a gun. Apparently it makes the cops get there faster.

This^^^ or at a minimum they exaggerate the heck out of everything. Very few calls are actually going down the way they get dispatched. Usually not even close.

    Stay classy Indiana.

A LOT of people should have been arrested for this stupidity including the moron of a mother who leaves her kids to go hit the guy with a chair. Seriously? Why did she not get the kids as far away from that mess as possible?

Because I believe SHE was the one that went up to the Black guy with no shirt and said..."Pull your gun on me again "N"....." later she tried hitting one of them with a chair before being told she should get her little kids out....
At least this is my take on watching it and what the camera guy was telling the cop.

    Stay Classy Indiana......lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible event and no background to the incident, but....

The man running the camera is a total POS. MWAG??? He never personally seen it and then states to officer that "Supposedly" has a gun. There is a difference and a difference on how Officers respond to an incident because of information provided. Then the stupid azz tries to take the cuffs off the officers belt??? Some people simply shouldn't be allowed in public.
