I would emphasize that being liked and being respected are two entirely different things. Respect is NOT derived from dropping our pants and grabbing our ankles to appease the membership of the UN. Respect comes from people who need it getting their asses blistered. I seem to recall a combination of fawning over the person of Obama and a distinct lack of actual respect as a product of the World Apology Tour and subsequent policy. When the rest of the world starts screaming like smashed cats, you know that they may not like you but they respect you in the knowledge that you are not letting them run over you and there is nothing they can do about it.
I was to told to pass around rep...

Hot? Good-looking certainly... hot? No way. Heather Nauert... the press secretary for the State Department, now she's hot.
It might depend on on how much older you are than her, and intelligence can add to the package. I can't imagine Nikki Haley going to TV to talk about her dogs pant's

This is going to get good.I think Nikki Haley needs her own thread.Nikki Haley Announces $285 Million Reduction to U.N. Funding - Breitbart.

    That's a misleading article.

Nikki Haley, United States Ambassador to the United Nations (U.N.), announced Sunday night that the federal government has reduced its contribution to the U.N.’s annual budget by 285 million dollars.

This makes it sound like the US will pay 285 million less next year compared to what they have paid the previous year.
    That's not the case.
The entire UN budget, with all the countries combined, will be 285 million less this year compared to the previous year.
But the US is not saving 285 million.

Here's a quote from another article:

The United States on Sunday applauded a $285-million-cut in the U.N. core budget, saying it was "a big step in right direction."The General Assembly adopted a budget of $5.396 billion for 2018-2019, slightly below the $5.4 billion that U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had sought.
The United States is by far the largest contributor to the UN budget, providing for 22 percent of the core budget.

The US will still pay over 1.1 billion dollars over the next two years to support the UN.

OK kids, the tantrum is OVER:

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit announced over the weekend that he would head a new committee, comprising the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Saudia Arabia and the Palestinian Authority, to devise a new policy on Jerusalem.

Notice who is NOT on the committee.

"The decision to establish this committee was, in effect, imposed on the Palestinian Authority by Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan in a move that was backed by the Arab League," a senior Jordanian official told Israel Hayom."This is a super committee that is headed by the secretary general of the Arab League, and it effectively puts the Arab League in charge of the policy on Jerusalem, taking it away from the Palestinians."The Palestinians' efforts to sway public opinion have been a complete failure, and as a result, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has created a rift between us [the Arab world] and Trump. We are once again left with the demagogic, hollow and inflammatory rhetoric of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan."

    Oh, and,
The Palestinians' doomsday warnings that the decision on Jerusalem would set the region ablaze have failed to materialize and the relative apathy on the Palestinian street has led to a mild response from the Arab world as well, particularly from the moderate Sunni states. Thus, despite the lip service and the appearance of consensus on Jerusalem in the form of harsh condemnations, the Arab states have avoided taking concrete measures to counter the American declaration.

    Electric wires, not "red lines."
Referring to the non-binding U.N. General Assembly resolution calling on the U.S. to reverse its decision on Jerusalem, the source [senior Jordanian official] said, "Washington has made its views clear and said it would take action against those nations that voted against it at the U.N. General Assembly last week. Now, when it is clear Trump is indeed going to punish those that voted against the U.S., most countries are trying to cut their losses."

Amazing what happens when you have a president who people think will actually follow up on his words.

Displeased with Palestinians, Arab states chart new Jerusalem policy ? Israel Hayom

Hey, if the Arab League accedes to East Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, then that would be a YUGE foreign policy victory for Trump.

Heck, even if they only succeed at taking over policy negotiations for Palestine, that could be very productive.

I'll believe it when I see it, though. ;)
