Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed.

The full text of Article V reads:
But Article V is not the Fifth Amendment.

the convention of states is gaining momentum. that will end the federal governments power and enact term limits. it is the 5th amendment
Now that we’ve got the distinction between Article 5 and the 5th Amendment worked out, I'm not convinced that a chamber-o-commerce infested GOP could find its way off of a non-functional escalator. Never overestimate what the GOP can accomplish when they have the opportunity to do good. If they did get a convention of states, what would come out of it would likely contain the product of secret wet dreams, to help line even more pockets than they can do now.

term limits enacted. The money stays in the states. The power goes to the states. It yanks the teeth and regulation away from the feds. They are more or less powerless. Its a good thing.

That is what you would like to happen, once a Con Convention starts there is no limits. They could scrap the entire constitution and install a monarchy if they could get enough votes. They could repeal the Bill of Rights, they could grant even more power to the feds.

A lot of people liked that Trump wasn't all that politically savvy. And that did help him in some ways. But it hindered him in the ways it takes to get stuff done in DC. He also didn't handle the media well despite our cheering when he called them out. But I think in many ways he did pioneer how to fight back against Democrats. I think better politicians could make use of that trail blazed to get stuff done in the future. I just don't think Trump is the right guy to do it now.

The media went nuts and exposed their bias because they hated him so much.
It has lead to the decline of trust in "main stream" media to this day, which is a good thing.

Never happen. The CoC’ers talk a good game. They even make it sound convincing that they support those things. If it limits their power and ability to create personal wealth for themselves they will never support it with actions. Just words so that you keep voting for them.

Not nothing good came of it. It’s more of a consolation prize. It hindered his ability to get stuff done.

I like a President that calls someone a SOB when they need to be called an SOB. SadlyI think Trump didn’t do it enough.

Since the establishment gop doesn’t want Trump, he needs to accommodate them by running as an independent. FGOP.

Negative. He has already largely taken the GOP away from them, he will now proceed to make the McConnells and the Romneys irrelevant and then they will be primaried and put out to pasture

Why should he cede HIS party to the also rans

The Manhattan DA's office is on a political mission to squash the Trump family and keep them from any further political aspirations. It's always been a political vendetta working in concert with the Democrat party going back to pre 2016 all the way through his presidency and now beyond.

Yep. They their starting point was, we don’t have any evidence of wrongdoing, but I’m sure we’ll find something to prosecute him for.

Exactly. They all were trying to uncover a nefarious connection between Trump and Russia to support the trash they were pedaling. It's all garbage. You can't just begin an investigation based on rumors and innuendo. You have to begin with RAS that a crime has possibly been committed. The courts should have put a stop to this years ago.

Just think if they took the same approach with Biden. Or Hillary. What kind of **** do you think they'd be able to dig up then? With Hillary, probably not a lot. Not that it's not there, but people are so afraid of her no one would dare speak against her. Biden? He's an idiot. His son is even more of an idiot. Probably don't have to scratch much off the surface to find ****.
