I'm looking for a decent tow behind brush cutter. I've seen some on Marketplace but they are finish cut listed as brush (different blades and decks). And rhe truw brush cutters they want a ton for them. I'm needing the kind I can clear a semi wild field and maintain it yearly. I only have an ATV and do not have a tractor.

I know they are somewhat expensive, but if I could find one that is too good to pass up, I won't have to go at the field with a weedeater!

Not sure where to find a cheap one, but I think I've seen blad3s that convert a finish mower to a Rotary cutter. So long as you aren't mowing over small trees, that might do the job. How big is the field?

If your dealing with saplings that are bigger than 1/2", you need a tractor. An ATV pull behind just isn't going to be heavy enough for that kind of abuse. Even an old gas machine with a bush hog would be a lot better.
