As our fair state is now the center of national media attention and angst, I thought we needed a more light-hearted Trump thread than the ones we already have going on INGO.
Despite my plans to support DJT in Tuesday's primary, I do agree the phenomena of his rise as a Presidential candidate is somewhat bizarre and rather unanticipated, politically speaking. Culturally, it is no surprise to me. Nothing is after the election of the current occupant of the White House. That said, I've decided to posit the following theories on why the PTB are letting The Donald have this much success.

The Disgruntled Mafia Theory: This theory posits that the traditional American mafia, la Cosa Nostra, is fed up with third world MS13, Zetas, etc. operating with impunity on "their" turf. Increased competition here in their North American criminal redoubt, combined with inroads made by Albanian and Russian gangs in their traditional European market, have finally forced them to go on the offensive in an attempt to reduce the Latin population explosion in the US via an "America first" agenda, surreptitiously supporting a candidate that stands against further globalization. Their previous interactions with Mr. Trump, via union deal-making in construction and property maintenance, make him a known quantity they can work with, unlike the globalist hag Hillary, a "pure" socialist like Bernie or a more ideological "white bread" candidate like Cruz. Unions would buy in to the anti-globalist policies of a Trump administration -- not publically, mind you -- in order to return some manufacturing to the US, which would grow their ranks and re-establish their financial and political power base.
The NWO Has Second Thoughts Theory: Imagine you are a real power-broker in the world. Not just some puke on MSNBC or failed women's studies major writing for the NYT. Someone who works for Kissinger Associates and/or is a member of the CFR. Based on economic and demographic trends, you realize Keynesian economics and universal brotherhood of man bull **** you've believed in and have been peddling for decades is, well, bull ****. Their frame of mind would be not unlike those hard core National Socialists who rode the wave, had a decade of good times, then realized the Russians had just surrounded the Reichs Chancery in Berlin. The jig is up, you know it, everyone knows it, but there ain't no way out at this point -- with the difference being that the globalist scam we're currently subject to is only on the cusp of being surrounded. Say, it is January, 1945 for them. They can not publicly do an ideological 180 and say, "Dammit, we need to close off the borders of the US and Europe and rework all of our trade deals with the world or we can not continue to milk the cow, 'cause Aztecs, radical Islamists and Chinese don't play the same games we do!" So, Bill Kristol and his pals scream, "Oh no, Trumpzilla is coming!" and pimp lame candiates like ¡Jeb!, ¡Rubio!, Kasich and Cruz. I mean, if you are Cruz and your campaign is about to go under, is Carly really the life preserver you are going to reach for? The smartest man in the room and that's the best he can do? <AFLAC!> Also, they can't rein in Hillary on this, despite her being in their club, as she is too power-obsessed to have this moment of clarity that the jig is up. She just wants to prove "she is woman, hear her roar!" after decades of taking the back seat to someone (Bill) who is truly the Anti-Feminist incarnate, based on the allegations of womanizing he has consistently faced for decades. Granted their marriage is a fraud and a sham, but the pride she has had to swallow in keeping up appearances has to have driven her over the edge by this point. She is running the ball up the middle on 4th and 1, and isn't going to audible to a pass like the dumb ass Seahawks did. (She's a sea hag, not a Seahawk...) The end game here is Trump taking down Hillary, which results in some leftists going bat **** crazy (well, manifesting their bat **** crazy in a tangible way) which leads to some riots, resulting in a quick swing of public opinion against La Raza and the Inca horde, which further results in less swells of immigration from south of the border and, hopefully, an improved process of integration for those already here into the American mainstream.
