A very interesting comparison of CNN coverage of H1N1 in 09 vs current coverage at the same points in time. First death, declaration of emergency etc.

    https://thefederalist.com/2020/03/1...er-obama-went-gonzo-on-wuhan-flu-under-trump/

This truly is a media created panic. And get out of here with the BS H1N1 didn't turn out to be anything. That is hindsight! Why would they cover it so differently at exactly the same major points?

Wasn't on INGO then, were there panic threads? What was the tone here then? We're the same folks posting then? Were the panic mongers members then?

Good article and what i've been pointing out to my liberal friends. In the end H1N1 was responsible for about 60 million infections, 270,000 hospitalizations and 13,000 US deaths and upwards of 150-500,000 estimated deaths worldwide. H1N1 was a bit different in that it tended to be more serious for younger people with the theory being that older adults had some sort of latent built up immunities from being exposed to similar strains. I don't remember anyone panicking back then, I was at Ft. Benning at the time and it was business as usual.

Pretty much... That and Pelosi's earlier trying to sneak in funding for Planned Parenthood.

Trump's next address should rip them to shreds and expose them for the lowlife scumbags every single one of them are. This is disgusting. He should read the entire bill to the public so that they can see who is really screwing them over - and it's NOT Trump, nor is it the Republicans. It's the den of vipers in the Democrat party in the House and Senate.

[h=1]Americans need help. Democrats must stop blocking it. [/h]
President Trump is marshalling every resource at America’s disposal to fight against the global Coronavirus pandemic. He’s grateful to our nation’s local leaders, doctors, nurses, law enforcement, and first responders who are waging this battle on the ground.

They need all the help they can get—and so do American workers and businesses. Every American family deserves immediate relief and certainty in this difficult time.

President Trump told Congress to send him a bill that protects our economy, your job, your retirement savings, and your family's future from this global pandemic.

Democrats are blocking it. Their donor wish list comes before helping you.

Senate Republicans are ready to send a relief bill to the President’s desk. Instead of joining them, Democrats voted it down. Their leaders are demanding a litany of partisan line items that have nothing to do with fighting the Coronavirus or saving our economy.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer should have to answer to every American: Why have they prioritized these partisan issues over help for working families of every background?
    • Audits of election results (yes, seriously)
    • Airline carbon emissions
    • Corporate diversity requirements
    • Collective bargaining for Federal workers
    • Expansion of wind/solar credits
And the list goes on and on—for 1,119 pages in Speaker Pelosi’s bill, to be exact.

With these demands, Democrats in Congress aren't trying to rescue our country. They aren't trying to rescue our economy. They're trying to rescue their partisan agenda—and they’re willing to hold America hostage to do it.

As one senior Democrat reportedly put it: This relief bill is “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”

Now is no time for partisan politics or to exploit a serious crisis for political gain. Now is the time to finish good-faith negotiations that deliver economic and healthcare support to working Americans.

President Trump and other leaders have asked every American to do their part to help slow the spread of Coronavirus by staying home and social distancing. The American people have selflessly heeded that call. As our citizens step up and do their part, it’s time for career politicians in Washington to do the same. No more delays.

The clock is ticking. The hour for action is here. Our country deserves it.

“Is That What We’ve Come To?” asks Sen. Susan Collins

Looks like the deadline for "Real ID" is being pushed out (watching Trump's address right now) in order to avoid larger than normal crowds at the BMV's.

And ****ing NBC breaks in to the President's address with more Trump bashing bull**** and fear mongering! Unbelievable. I think NBC should be declared "non-essential" and sent home.

Better yet, declare Pelosi and Schumer as non-essential (since they're not doing anything to help the situation, they truly are non-essential) and send them home.

Once most the general public finds out Pelosi and Schumer took $1000-4000 out of their pocket in exchange for trying to get some carbon taxes, during a crisis, pretty sure heads will roll anyway.

You would think so. But I have very little faith in the mental state of people that vote for democrats.
