Paid sick leave for everybody, with no thought given to who will do the paying. A Democrat wet dream they're attempting to impose under cover of response to an emergency. A preview of the methodology of a potential Democratic government

I'm not so much against the concept. We just spent $1.5 trillion to slow the decline of the stock markets. Who's paying for that?

It'd be cheaper to pay for sick leave than to have to cover all the uninsured/medicare/medicaid recipients when things get out of control. (And yes you're covering the uninsured in the end anyway, as you're footing their unpaid bills.)

In the end it isn't about compassion, it's about what is actually the cheaper and safer route.

Stock market has all time record rally and CNN will not cover it.

Donald Trump and the team he assembled to fight the Wuhan virus in the United States gave a press conference this afternoon at the White House. As the president and his team spoke, the stock market soared, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing Friday at an all-time record increase of 1,972.

Unless you are CNN. Coming back from the press conference, the Atlanta anti-Trumpers landed on Jake Tapper for reaction, and then to Dr. Sanjay Gupta. There was dire talk of mixed messages, and questions of why hasn’t this happened sooner?

You know what didn’t get mentioned? The record-breaking stock market recovery that happened during the press conference.

Now. mind you, these are the same people who have spent every hour since Trump gave his Oval Office address talking about how he spooked the market. How it was the most expensive speech of all time. Pointing and laughing at its failure. Fine, that’s fair game. But when the next day he goes four for four with 6 RBI, you don’t suddenly get to pretend the stock market doesn’t exist

Let them dream. A huge difference is who the public is offered as an alternative. Jimmy Carter's opponent was Ronald Reagan who offered a positive vision and escape from the malaise of the Carter years. Trump's opponent will likely be senile Biden or Commie Bernie.

In all fairness to Jimmy Carter, a rabbit swam out and attacked him while he was fishing.

Wouldn't it be sweet if the outcome of this attempt to take Trump down became the lemonade Trump made from their lemons, by allowing him to present himself anew to those skeptical of him in a serious and Presidential manner?

This appears to be happening. Bipartisan aid bill passed. If the dems were hoping this would damage him, it may be backfiring.

I am keeping an eye on the frequency of the use of the term "community" and "collective" and "greater good", etc. A massive expansion of federal dollars and strings.

Lots of potential for this good to get perverted into something bigger.

ABC and NBC are calling Trump racist for calling it a Chinese virus. Not withstanding that it is a Chinese virus, these companies parent company is trying to get their streaming services into China. Talk about conflict of interest!

Is Washington Post coverage just news or Amazon propaganda?

The "news" no longer comes from unbiased news focused organizations, it comes from divisions of multinational corporations whose parent company has millions of not billions of dollars on the line around the globe in thousands of unrelated business dealings.

I suspect you will need to be a subscriber to read the attached linked WSJ article from March 17, 2020 entitled, "Questioning the Clampdown; will people lose faith when they find out they are expected to get the virus anyway?"

    An excerpt:

Experts now agree the virus’s spread can be slowed but not contained. It will take its place among mostly seasonal respiratory infections. After a time, recurrent outbreaks will be
moderated by a large number of potential carriers who have immunity from their last infection.

And then we can ask some questions. The cost to Americans of the economic shutdown is vast.
What are they getting for their money? Essentially less excess demand for respiratory
ventilators and other emergency care than can currently be supplied.

WTH is so hard for people to understand. "Excess Demand" == People Dying. Will people lose faith if their Mother or Grandmother is one of the people that doesn't get a ventilator because there aren't enough to go around? That is currently where it's at in Italy right now... Oh well - tough **** Grandma...

Mainstream media calling for censorship of the president. It's almost like they are the enemy of the people or something... (intentionally left not purple)
