At least I got a med cert so if in the mean time I find a place that pays good and has comparable health insurance maybe they may train me and help me get my drive test done.

A woman that I know, that deals with veterans and the VA, keeps telling me I should see the VA about my back and try to get disability pay for my back, even if it's 10 percent.

Since I have a good job, I'd feel weird doing that.
But she points out that I've missed months of work because of it, and I earned it.
Don't know if I want to go through the hassle though.
Plenty of vets could use the money more.

That's how I feel but if down the road my meniscus tear causes enough damage to warrant a knee replacement I look at it as delayed worker comp.

My buddy felt the same but I told him its like a settlement at work for an injury just paid out over time instead of a lump sum.

Do it now! Dad had 10% or so and didn’t do what he needed to do to keep it up because he didn’t need it, others are worse off, etc. but when he retired he tried to get it reinstated and they told him, sorry too late, sucks to be you.
