Very interesting. While everyone was in a whirlwind over Clinton's sex scandal, Ron Paul was calling for impeachment of the president for another reason: the illegal bombing of Sudan & Iraq without Congressional approval. Ron correctly predicts in 1998 that our foreign meddling & attacking would cause more harm than good. He warned that the bombing campaign would incite terrorist blowback & possibly a war.

So the Islamic terrorists have blown-up nightclubs and shot-up airports in dozens of countries that didn't bomb them because...? What about the attack on the WTC in 1993? Is there anything that won't prompt an Islamic terrorist attack?

If you want to read about a man who really did predict the attacks on the U.S. in both 1993 and 2001 then look up Rick Rescorla.

Terrorists ALWAYS cite an excuse for their actions, whether or not it's valid. And there is always a politician or pundit who is willing to believe the worst about this country; all anyone else has to do is lay the charge.

Terrorists don't commit their acts out of frustration, they do them because they expect to advance their aims in the doing. Sometimes it works (Spain), sometimes it doesn't (Malaysia, Columbia), but terrorists can always count on useful idiots on the other side to apologize and legitimize their actions.

Rick Rescorla not only predicted 9/11, but for anyone who has read "We Were Soldiers Once..." knows that despite his English birth, he is a true American.

Why are you guys so amazed by these predictions? While we have Muslims and Christians in this world there will always be war. I am not trying to incite war or side with one religion or the other. This has just always been my opinion.

My question to Ron Paul would be what if we were attacked again and Congress didn't approve of a war to go after whom ever did the attack. What would he do then?

Much like he predicted the great 1990s depression in 1988?

"I anticipate, and many Austrian free market economists anticipate, that the recession that's coming will not be a recession at all but it will a depression and it will probably be bigger than the one we had in the 1930s"

I hate anything in which it is said that "Someone predicted something". Political figures say alot of things over the years, sooner or later what they say will either turn out true, false or something close. It doesn't make them a prophet, just that some crap they said turned out "true" in a certain context and when viewed a certain way.

I normally don't get into the political talks but badwolf is right. Politicians will say anything they can to either gain ground or smear someone's name or reputation. As I said before, Rick Rescorla is an American hero, not Ron Paul.

LOL, Ron Paul will be right on that one too, when this giant collectivist Ponzi scheme comes crashing down. Be patient. Numbers don't lie.

Terrorists ALWAYS cite an excuse for their actions, whether or not it's valid.
Is it valid this time? Conservatives are willing to justify war because Iranian leadership supposedly called us the "Great Satan." Is that any worse than American leadership saying that the death of half a million innocent Iraqi children would be worth it?

And there is always a politician or pundit who is willing to believe the worst about this country; all anyone else has to do is lay the charge.
Do you think that Ron Paul believes the worst about the country? Is it possible to criticize government policies while still loving your country?

but terrorists can always count on useful idiots on the other side to apologize and legitimize their actions.
Madeleine Albright was neither convincing nor apologetic in that clip. This government needs better idiots to apologize and legitimize its actions.

As I recall the OP is an ardent Truther. So why tout Ron Paul as predicting something you do not believe actually occurred that way. If anything that would make me think Ron Paul may have been in on the cover up.

Here is the real prediction, shown 6 months before it happened.

There will always be a useful, um, well, someone, who will make the excuse that the reason doesn't matter, usually because it hurts a little too much to actually think about it.

Should we be surprised that worldwide it's different places, different reasons? Nothing excuses it, nothing makes it legitimate. That doesn't mean there isn't a reason.

Paul got booed this evening when he repeated what Old Sammy Been Laid On came right out and said. It seems Republicans don't really like personal responsibility unless they're complaining about someone else not taking it.

Well now, that is too bad. Then he (and some of his supporters) would be better advised to not use obl talking points.
