    Kroger was founded in Cincinatti, Ohio. In the 1950s there was a Kroger's in Hammond near the state line. Meijer was founded in Michigan. Of course, Aldi is Germany.
    Actually two of them can be correct, as both Kroger and Meier are the proper names of their founders thus we can say we are going to a grocery possessed by an individual, hence “We are trying to decide if we are going to Kroger’s store or Meijer’s store for our needs”.
