    ..…but it has to be 1500 miles, cause she wasn’t paying attention and drove it almost 3000, and we had to do another oil change and another 1500 miles (no Jeep can’t do math, cause they couldn’t use the volume level and double it for 3000 miles)

    Yes but, at 1500 miles there will be oil still on the dipstick right??? So at 3000 when it’s bone dry, that’s not a valid indicator of excessive oil consumption???

    You are right, that is an indicator. But corporate says it has to be 1500 miles so it has to be 1500 miles. They might do an oil analysis and look at various parameters like metal particulates, etc. and those would have limits based on mileage since the last change. The dealership probably does not have the leeway to change much of anything that corporate says.
