    Termites are white. That's an ant. Denny #1 for today.
    Actually it is a termite. Reproductives (kings and queens) like this one have a harder, darker exoskeleton since they fly out into the world to make new colonies. Ant and termite reproductives both have 4 wings, but termite wings are all the same size (like the pic), therefore the order name Isoptera. Ants also have elbowed antennae, and the pictured insect clearly does not.

    I can not be the only one who finds the second image disturbing. No fork marks. The angle of the missing whip cream(if you can call what comes out of a can real whip cream)that seems to defy reality as it nears the square pumpkin part. Add to that the fact that clear glass plates are not suitable for human use in civilized homes.
