Morning. Sorry I missed SRS yesterday. I did get out to Proteq with CameraMonkey though. We had to rezero Dad's Winchester 190. The scope had slipped forward a bit, or I mounted it wrong originally.

I did also get out the P10s, P01, and P07. Ran a few magazines through the Hellcat. The Hellcat is a typical small gun a bit snappy but shoots well.
Though I kept shooting low left all day. My groups looked good, just low left the whole time.

Sounds like the targets were hung in the wrong place. Shooting was dead-on.

Man, I'm sorry about the company you had to keep, but I agree, the targets were just hung high and right.

yeah there are times where I feel the same.

My mom called while we were driving home. CameraMonkey was driving this time. I hold up the phone and tell CM to say hi. What do I get, he says "Hi CameraMonkey!" My mother then says, I expect nothing less from him.

    I should have expected it.

I like the way you think.

Seriously though, I need more time at the range. This once every few months thing just doesn't work for keeping the skills sharp.
I should have kept a list of the excuses yesterday...

    - haven't been shooting enough

    - the sun got in my eyes

    - the shade was bothering me

    - there was a bug on the scope lens

    - this bench is too short

    - this bench is too tall

    - the fan was blowing in my eyes

    - this must be old ammo

-this must be a different lot of ammo

    - that's odd. It shoots 1/4 moa at my range

    This isn’t my gun

I think there’s mouse poop on my ammo

I didn’t get to eat breakfast

Bo (youngest pup) turned one today.
6277C581-AA9A-475F-A9F6-6D787375FC8A.jpeg Took the day off for it, in true big sister fashion, Lola started wrestling with him as soon as they woke up. Made them all ham and eggs for breakfast and then took them for a walk. Just got back, probably going to take them into TSC later to see my old man (he works there on the weekends for something to do) and get some treats and a toy.

I really wanted to be at the SRS yesterday and was hoping to get some pointers from the experienced precision shooters but was down with a cold and wanted to keep my germs to myself!

That said, I need goals to work on so…
What were the winning groups. How small at 50 & 100 yrds do I need to work for.

@drillsgt I am a rifle rookie but love my 457 Varmint MTR and even in my unskilled hands shoots some pretty nice sub MOA groups.
