Sure are a lot of S&W revolvers in the classies right now. Making me rethink getting a J frame.

You want a J frame. You need a J frame.

    In the country, hopefully.
I had to step out of my usual car/motorcycle/gun wheelhouse.

I'm on the sound team at our church. The dimmer pack for our stage lights started making strange noises and overheating. The fans weren't turning, so i put two new fans in it and no problems this morning. Thankfully it worked out. $45 in parts.
    Sounds familiar.
We just replaced our dimmer pack that was “the latest and greatest thing to be going out of style that I need to dump on you people” from 20 years ago.

Glad to see it gone. Noisy as all get out.

Got new stage lights with new controller, finally got the house lights integrated with new controller.
Now all programmable from the computer in the booth. Very nice looking now.

This must be a CZicko Sunday S&W want day.

I was looking at the S&W 19-3 earlier. Got myself past it...again.

I cleaned my 2 S&W Model 10's to remind me how much I dislike cleaning revolvers.

That just got me to look at the S&W Model 64 in the classifieds. :runaway:

Ours had a date of 9/15/2006 on the back cover. When it's dimming, it gets noisy. But at least the fans aren't adding to the noise now.

As I look back, I think one fan quit a while ago. Last Sunday, the other went out. Then it overheated and went into protection mode and lights went out. Was afraid we were facing a big repair bill, but so far so good.

An all new computer controlled system would be very nice. Can't imagine the possibilities. I'm the least techy guy I know so it's a whole different world to me.

    New fans keeping her cool.

I got this revolver out tonight too. The mechanism needs some work but it is still one of the most meaningful ones I have. It was my grandmother's "keep me safe while my husband is working in the fields" gun. 22 Short or maybe 22 Long. Hopkins and Allen Arms Co, Range Model.

Ours was at full noise when just one little light was on, when it was new.

I’m about the same when it comes to tech, I’ll learn what I have to and that’s it. I’ve shortchanged myself and others by being that way, probably, but I have a lot of irons in the fire and tech just doesn’t get a lot of bandwidth.

Could Norm be right? Four more hours and we will know! I am so excited, I can’t sleep (or drank too much coffee yesterday….)

Maybe it'll be a 1917 Army Model. Some refinements, but not too many.
Heck, I might get all soft in the marshmallow bull for something like that !
