Sounds to me like the husband did the shooting, she just whacked them in the head with the candle jar ;)

Still a great article, the intruders got what they had coming

    WIN written all over it!

Damn I bet that was scary as hell for that couple. The Adrenalin had to be pumping bigtime for both I'd bet.

    My favorite lines were...

"I am not happy that someone is dead," Kellie Hoehn said. "But I am glad that my family is alive."

Investigators say the couple were just defending their family and probably won't be charged.

Kudo's to our Texan brothers and sisters! The phrase still stands... Don't mess with Texas!

    lol

Bravo to both of them as this was a great team defense effort. :yesway:

*It looks like they have edited the title from Woman to Man at this point.*

That couple shows exactly why I prefer to be armed.

The only thing that concerned me was the statement from the police saying they probably won't be charged. What is this probably crap. They were just defending their family.

    Where's the bacon?
Anyone else (Edit: Besides dclaarjr) notice the last lines?

"I am not happy that someone is dead," Kellie Hoehn said. "But I am glad that my family is alive."
Police said Pierson was shot in the left arm and the bullet pierced his diaphragm and other organs but his condition was improving. He will face charges of burglary of habitation with intent to commit another felony, police said.
Investigators say the couple were just defending their family and probably won't be charged.

OK.. Last I checked (and I'm not sure if Texas law supports this, but I'd be surprised if not) when you commit a felony in which one person dies, even your partner in crime, you can be held on a charge of murder. Since this was a murder committed in the course of committing another felony, that could make it a capital murder.

Why is this scumbag not charged with ALL of his crimes?

Further, "probably"??? The Hoehns "probably" won't be charged? :wtf:

    Blessings,

They probably won't be charged but if the intruders family doesn't sue the couple then they may try to get revenge some other way so I hope they watch out for that. Hopefully it all ends there.
