    In the country, hopefully.
Only 55% of Americans say they would stay and fight if the United States were invaded. Unbelievable huh? The numbers for Taiwan are way better.

52% of Democrats say they would run like scared rabbits and leave the country. :ugh:

    Hey….
    That gives me an idea.
Get rid of 52% of d’s with just a little fake news…

China won't need a marine invasion. A soft blockade delaying ships with phony inspections and seizing massive amounts of goods will be the public face. We've seen ransomware attacks shut down large shipping lines. The same would happen to the TW ports making container processing almost impossible. Never mind the large number of Chinese spies that would become saboteurs who are certainly seeded throughout the TW infrastructure. They could make life on the island suck. Humans usually prefer comfort to freedom.
China won't get away with a blockade; they need the sea lanes open because they get practically all of their petroleum and manufacturing materials from shipping and it would be far easier for the US, Japan and even India to blockade the Chinese Mainland than it would be for the Chinese to blockade Taiwan. And the US reminded them of that recently when a US destroyer sailed through the Straits of Taiwan to make that point. Not to mention that I've seen reports that TWO US Carrier Groups are in the region.

And let's not forget those ghosts under the sea.
Those things have a nasty habit of taking down shipping.
