Hands down the Jericho 941, most excellent range gun. Its all steel so its heavy which makes it a pleasure to shoot, mine is in .45 and its nicer to shoot than many 9mm. Before the bashing starts ask those that have actually shot this weapon how they like it.

I really like my Glock 19 but I kinda wish I'd gone with a Glock 17. The 19 wasn't as accurate as I'd thought it'd be. Or I just need serious practice.

Zero, for most practiced shooters the 19 is just as accurate. Give it time and pratice more and try different ammo too. Not all ammo is created equal!

Full size 9,40, or 45? Can't go wrong with a full size Glock in any of those calibers, also S&W M&P is hard to pass on. Now if trigger feel is important Glock may not be your cup of tea, I personally like the S&W trigger better. Now if you want to go a bit larger in the folding money size, a Kimber in 45 will have a dream trigger compared to Glock and S&W.:ingo:

I'll chime in with another S&W M&P9 vote.I've also done the Apex Duty/Carry trigger kit on it and it is a mighty nice trigger afterwards.

If only for fun at the range, a Glock 35 in .40 is hard to beat. Close to an half inch longer site radius than the G22 and it comes with the 3.5 pound connector.

Down the road adding a 9mm conversion barrel or a .357 aftermarket barrel only adds to the fun.

The CZ or one of its clones is definitely worth looking at. Next to that would be a Hi Power, but as mentioned above, it might not be easy to find one for under $600. One of my favorite shooters is an AR 24K (CZ 75 Compact clone). The thing is built like a tank, comfortable and accurate.

Glock 19 is a great gun to shoot as well as small and light enough to conceal. Mine is very accuate and extremely reliable. In my opinion you can't go wrong with a glock.

Holsters and magazines are easy to find and affordable.:twocents:

I'm interested in buying a new handgun, I want something accurate, full size, and fun to shoot. A lot of guys I shoot with have invited me to "friendly" competition shoots where a handful of guys meet up and shoot for fun and usually wager a small amount of money where the winner donates the money to our local range. Most of my handguns are compact and have stiff triggers although I'm somewhat accurate with them I cant compete much past 10 yards.

I'm looking for a semi auto, full size, 9mm, .40, or .45. I would like it to be $600 or less.

    Any suggestions????
G22 Had trigger work done,I love it. I have put 8 out of 10 in paper @ 90', leaning against a tree. Offhand, not that good. But I still wouldn't want to be shooting at myself:)

And it's fun, because it's like target practice and russian roulette all in one!

1911s are accurate, but they're boring to shoot. They never go kaboom, where's the fun in that?

I just purchased an M&P9 Pro Series two tone with the fiber optic front site. I don't believe it is any more accurate than any of my Kimbers, Glocks or Colts but it clicked for me. I think it is the sites but whatever it is I hit more bulls than I have with my other guns and had 0 issues. For $600 bucks you can't go wrong.

Smith M&P or a 1911. I don't think anyone can go wrong with a 1911 unless they have an issue with the weight of the gun. That's why I also mentioned the M&P.

    Good luck:)

My preference would be a S&W M&P or a 1911. Obviously you can get into some serious money if you go with a 1911 but for less than $600 you can get a nice Taurus 1911.

The 7.62 by 25 tokarev round is extremely accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. the cz 52 military pistol is an amazing full size gun. and right now they are under $300.00
