Well if I made $150k last year I sure as hell wouldn't have any student debt left.

I don't mean to sound like some kind of socialist but if you're making $150k every year you are well above the "I no longer acknowledge that your life has any serious challenges or hardships" line for me. Your complaints fall on deaf ears when you make 4x my salary. You lost my loan payment for the month in the sofa cushions yesterday.
If it were just a single person, 150 should enough. Add on a family, you might need more. Tack on taking care of the elderly in-laws, 150 alone would be really tight.
Each situation is different, but I wholeheartedly believe anyone with a four year degree should be able to make over $37,500 annually.
Bottom line - this program is flawed from the beginning and no matter which way you slice it, someone’s going to be mad about it.

If you can not afford it don't buy it. One can make good money in the trades. Not every person needs a college degree. Some of us took off for a year to earn money for the next school year. Be frugal with expenses. You do not need the best clothes.

There certainly be extenuating circumstances, like severe illness or injury. Then maybe help could be given.

8/25 ETA to add "not" to first sentence.

Yep.....but "giving" via force is not "giving" nor is it charity, nor is it a good deed.

That would be teaching humility and self reliance. Big gov cannot have that kind of thinking gumming up the works…

Not suprisingly, the youngest called to invite me to dinner tomorrow.

I am expecting that within the first 30 minutes this matter will come up and following will be a discussion of yet another example of why the central state needs to be abolished.

So the working class are forking over tens of thousands in taxes so some rich entitled brat making $124k a year with a college degree, has some debt relief...

And these people act like republicans are all fatcat catering types.

This is literally stealing from the poor to give to the rich.

Republicans can join the Democrats on a fast train to Hell as far as I am concerned. When it comes to ****ing away the property rendered from others through force, they are no better.

And now those that are happy about it are referring to anyone against this theft as "smooth brains". Nice.... not only are they ****ing stupid but the want to call others stupid for not going along with theft.

And to pay for someone who got a gender studies degree working at Starbucks. So we got to pay for rich and retarded decisions
