I'm starting to see quite a few stink bugs at my place. Saw a few last year (and every fall), but there seems to be a bumper crop this year. Anyone else seeing more than normal? I hate the darned things. They always manage to find their way into the house and I end up killing them all winter when I'm out in the family room working (right by our back door).

Had a bunch of them on every window screen and a few on the inside Monday. Went and got some Pepermint oil and put on cotton balls. Placed the cotton balls in the widow sills and have not had any in the house or on the window screens since.

Brown marmorated shield bugs from China.

They're invasive and wipe out a lot of crops, they also spread like crazy.

I think mine get in under the screen door and then are probably between it and the regular door and just sneak in when I let the dog or cat in and out, or go out myself. At least that's the only thing I can figure. I don't remember ever seeing them in the main house.

They were all over the side of the house yesterday and I spent an hour or so letting the shop vac eat them. I could work back and forth... once I cleaned and left an area for a minute or two, there would be another gang to replace them.

Last few years were bad with them in my area. This year I've seen. Haven't seen much for earwigs either.
This year it was the bees and wasps

I just killed an earwig about an hour ago. As for the stink bugs, it sounds like I don't have them as bad as some of y'all do! At least not yet. Hope they don't get much worse.

Two years ago they were bad in Hancock Co. Last year, not too bad. This year looks to be another bad one.
I live in farm country and can tell when one of the farmers are pulling corn or beans, the stink bugs show up in biblical fashion.

We have had them like crazy in anderson last year. This year starting to get crazy again. I have tried everything to kill them. I sprayed soapy water(nope), bug spray(nope), oil(nope),window cleaner) , barely diluted insect spray(nope). Smash them & fire are the only thing that works on these monsters!!! Don't forget the kissing bugs!

I used Dawn antibacterial dishwashing liquid and water.
    It worked for me.
