    Who's speedometer is accurate +/- 3 mph?

I foresee a lot of speed cameras getting vandalized.
    That never happens...

    Now Chicago wants "noise cameras".
They already have been shown NOT maintaining their red light cameras, collecting fees because citizens don't want to fight city hall, and when the citizens do fight, only that citizen gets reimbursed.
Just puts $$ in the contractors hands.

If no workers are in the construction zone, how can it be a construction zone?
No doubt. I had a cop pulled me over in a “construction zone“ and threaten to use the construction fines. The gotcha is that it was in name only. All construction was done. The only thing left to do was for the company to come and pick up the signs and barrels. There wasn’t even idle machinery laying around.

You can beat speed cameras by going really fast apparently.
We just had a case in France of a driver caught doing 275km/h (170mph) on the highway (wasn't me).
    That's quite fast.
At that speed you are supposed to lose your driver license for 3 years, pay a huge fine and possibly get some jail time.
His lawyer found out that the radar used was only certified for speeds up to 155mph.
So the court ruled that he couldn't get charged for speeding.
Some new generation speed cameras are certified up to 300km/h (186mph).

So if you see cops with a radar gun you need to speed up.
Some hand held radar guns can only measure speeds up to 210mph.

    Which is REALLY stupid.

Who cares if we can't get it exact, as long as we're sure you're OVER.

Too many judges all over seem to be idiots.

They had these in AZ. If you didn't pay them, someone had to physically hand you a citation/summons to "face an accuser". They eventually did away with them because people were slamming on the brakes where the cameras were and causing major wrecks. Also, no one answers their doors in AZ.

    Speeding cameras are 100% scam.

They work the same way as the toll roads.

The local politicians (government) got paid a fixed fee, guaranteed, for leasing out the roads where these cameras would be installed.
The cameras are owned by the processing company, they pocket the ticket money.

These cameras are not there to help enforce the traffic law or save lives. They are there to make as much money as possible, unlimited amount.

The same way the parking meters in Chicago, all the parking fee goes to Dubai, not Chicago because the previous admin already sold them out years ago.

I have a picture somewhere showing the actual normal speed limit at 40 mph and they placed construction speed limit signs up for a new construction project at 45 mph. Which is the legal limit?

    Good question, :dunno:

That is a conundrum. I'd say the sign was in error and you should follow the stated rule. The drivers manual only states this:
Reduced Speed Limits in Highway Work Zones
Work site speed limits are always at least 10 miles per hour below the maximum established
    speed limit for the area
. Drivers must adhere to the posted speed limit in a work site. Some
work site speed limits are in effect only when flashing and others are in effect at all times
    But the manual says:
    SPEED LIMITS
Indiana law requires drivers to operate vehicles at the posted speed limit.
So, now what is considered POSTED?

And my picture shows what is in red is a printed falsehood from BMV. Let me find it.
