What the hell is going on? I just talked to my dad about this stuff, still need to rant. He is a recently retired conservative social studies/history teacher and constitutional scholar, and is always good for bouncing ideas off of. Unfortunately, right now, he doesn't have any more ideas than anyone else.
Any how, I am, like most of us here, pissed about our government and the direction it's headed. We can all see what's going on around us, but this crap is really hitting home right now. I'm unemployed with a wife, 4 kids, and a mortgage. Our savings are gone, and I have applications and resumes in at about six places nearby. Nobody is calling, but they are hiring. Friends I know at these places say hold tight, it's coming. Great. In the mean time, I know of single women taking voluntary lay-offs from another place, getting about 150 dollars more unemployment than I do, and they are getting money for school. What the hell?
Can someone please tell me what the hell we need all of this government for? I already know the answer, but needed to vent some more. Thanks for listening.

Networking is the best way to find a job. Tell all of your family, friends, and neighbors that you are looking for a job and meanwhile walk-in to business who are hiring. Don't submit your resume online or mail. Walk-in is effective.

    Good luck, brother.

Dood, I'm in the same boat. Not so much a mortgage, but student loans, defaulted car loans and other bills. My fiance is working, Thank God, but we are also trying to help my mother, who also thankfully has a job, to be able to keep her house. I can't find work and obamatard says it's time to help the poor by giving non-taxpayers money we earned. Stimulus Bill my ass. I'm just as pissed as you are and there's not much we can do about any of it. It just makes me want to scream everytime I turn on the news on tv or yahoo and see the crap they are shoveling at us.

So what do we do? Wait four years while they destroy this Country?

I am sorry to hear about your employment situation. I have a several friends that have lost their jobs in the last few months. I am self-employed and haven't had a new contract in a long time, and old ones have expired. (I am thankful that God provided us with enough to get out of debt and save over the last few years, so we're hanging in there.) Those that have not been laid off are worried.

EXCEPT those that work for UNCLE SAM. He is hiring. Doubling the size of the FBI and CIA. Saw that today. If you are a minority with LE experience, i bet you'd be a shoe-in. The 'O'-man is building a S.S. type network to keep angry citizens with old fashioned ideals (like Life, Liberty, Personal Property) in line. Military Contractors are also doing well. The folks in Washington are strengthening their grips around our throats. They are cutting off credit to private businesses they do not favor (Federal Gov't now owns many of the big Banks so they get to choose who gets the loans).

More than half of the job losses of the last year happened in the last couple months, as employers prepared for the Osama/Obama Plan for American Reconstruction. He is a grabber. Businesses knew it and started laying people off as soon as they saw him coming. (Bush was an idiot, and handed O-man the keys to the country)

I'm afraid that we'll have to throw these shackles off ourselves. No one in our totalitarian government has the guts to even identify the problem. The problem is them. We will have elections in 2010 for a new congress. If both houses are not cleaned out, then I KNOW it is rigged.

I hope you find a job soon (better than what-ever you had before) and your family prospers in 2009.

Off course it's rigged. Popular voted NEVER counted. It's all about the electorial college. They choose President. I bet they also control who else gets in office too.

i have to say i voted for Chuck Baldwin. The only Pro-Life, Pro 2Am, Pro Liberty, Pro-Personal Property, Pro-Personal Responsibility candidate. One of the very few people that voted for him (my wife did too, God Bless her, I'm a lucky man). When Ron Paul was screwed by the machine i knew the republican party was toast. McCain's econ policy not much different than the O-man's. McCain abstains on Abortion votes. McCain wishy-washy on 2am. McCain was the key man in the Keating 5 scandal.

I voted Libertarian for (Larsen) for Congress as well. Souder does not Represent our ideals of Liberty. He voted +TARP. He votes for lots of pork programs. He tells me pork is good for Fort Wayne when i contact his office. What-evah.

I keep holding out hope that people will "wake up" when they see actual socialism. I guess I'm the one that needs to "wake up". Any system where the majority is on the dole is a failure. That's what we got.

Eagle, i think were on the same team. I'm just fleshing out the argument (Tired as it may be) for any passers by that may see this post.
