The last few batches of the npaps were supposed to have bad heat treats, quite a few cracked receivers out there.

personally if going combloc I would go VEPR, Saiga, draco or Wasr (draco IS the romanian millitary SBR with a pistol trunnion instead, closest 'mil-spec' AK we can get)

It certainly helped using the Bushnell TRS-25 AK Optics.
But after more exp i think I still prefer the AR platform....
if I do dabble in 7.62x39 again I'm thinking of trying to find a good 74 or maybe an SKS.

Well I made it back, put another 250 or so rounds down her. No issues.....Iron sights at 100 yards with these crappy eyes. (The ones with the center shots were the c39 with a Red Dot) all above are sets first 7 or 8 then head with which I went right for some reason. Bench Rest of course.

Either way, for me that is nice shooting...

By the way, tried out a new Remington R9, in 9mm. Nice gun for $240. Shots as well as my XD or Ruger American.
