    No I have not.

As I stated before in the review, per a Magpul rep some 30 caliber bullet profiles may work.

I will try some in the future.

I do hope that they release a 300blk version in the future.

What are the 300 BLK rounds that are rumored to work? Any subsonics?

It's not so much about whether it's subsonic or not, it's bullet profile. I have tired to pin down what would work, from a Magpul rep, but they are not going to be specific. I would guess that it's because they recommend not using it for 300.

If I had to hazard a guess, and mind you, that's all it is, I would guess that the lighter, smaller profile bullets work, like 147gr.

I have loaded for 208, 220, 147 grain bullets. I will, when the weather improves, try them in the drum and report back.

In terms of loading, would it work with stripper clips and the latch or are you forced to do one round at a time?

I don't know if the stripper clips would work, but Magpul does say that most AR15 magazine loading devices works with the drum.

The key is that you must make sure the loading gate is closed after each round is inserted. See pic below-

After each round is inserted, the gate needs to close after it. If not, the drum will unload in a most spectacular fashion, spitting rounds out the top.

Based on my time with it, while you can use a loading tool to stack rounds, you will still have to ratchet the lever and load on round at a time.

When $20 and a mag clamp gets you to 60 it's hard to cost justify a drum but these look good. Nice review.

Or two of their 40 round magazines for about $35, which is 33% more rounds overall. Cheaper and more rounds, two reasons I have not bought one of their drums.

I picked up one of these drums this morning, my LGS's first one. Will get it loaded up and try it out asap and report back. :) I will say it's built well, weight empty isn't bad at all, and function felt good.

Looks like a good product, but it's hard for me to justify >$100 for the same capacity as two USGI magazines. I'd like to have one, but man that's expensive. Thanks for the review!

Daniel Defense uploaded a video a few days ago of a guy running 300 BLK in a D60 on full auto. All I have been hearing on here and other Internet sources is that subsonics don't run reliably. It appears that it ran reliably this time. Granted, it was only one video.

I got a magpul d60 a few weeks ago. been extremely happy with it this far minus it's a real pain to load lol. I'm hoping that will break in with time though. I have about 300 rounds of all types of ammo through it. factory to reloads. not been any issues to speak of. Great set up for sure.

Good to know freekforge. I've been wanting one, but just haven't impulsively bought one due to price... The original stated price was very attractive, but I just can't bite off on it yet. The 300blk has me kind of tapping my foot too. For the last year or so I've shot it a lot more than 223.

I would like to try one out with some of my 300blk loads. If I knew it would run reliably with 300blk I'd probably have to buy. I am a fan of it for sure.
