Does anybody make a backpack that is configured like a range bag? I don't mean something for bugging out that can be used as a range backpack, but something with compartments for pistols, mags, etc. I've looked up a couple, but they are simply ruck sacks of various sizes. Any suggestions?

I have two of the G.P.S. Bags and really like them. LA Police gear runs sales on them sometimes. I think I paid $79.00

I just use my old college backpack. My pistol case goes in the biggest compartment and accessories and stuff go in the others. Works out pretty well for me.

My wife got me a SOG bag. its a 5.11 knockoff, but still a decent bag. until i blew a hold in it while using it as a rest and not paying attention. i'm now glad she didn't actually spend the money on the 5.11 bag.

The G.P.S. came in yesterday and I'm very pleased. Although I don't regularly take four pistols to the range, I packed up as much stuff and found that I have room for more gear if necessary.

The top pocket also has two each AR and AK magazines. It has 100 rounds for each pistol and each rifle. Again, more stuff than I would carry on a normal range trip, so it looks like this is just what I needed.

    Sorry for the thread resurrection.

Midway has one of these bags on sale right now. I showed my wife and told her that might make a good father's day present. She is not a shooter and puts up with my hobby/obsession more than she probably should have to. She said "Is that a backpack? Why would you carry a range bag on your back with the guns all pointed at you? Doesn't that violate one of your rules?"

Wow. Firstly, she is right. Secondly, she listens to me a lot more than she lets on.
