there really isnt anything that could break, so no worries. since glock is a very big brand, you can find parts to replace literally ANYTHING at a low price.
just buy one, clean it once a year or so and it will run fine.

The real story is yes, they only have a 1 year warrenty. However there are stories of people sending their Glocks back and getting them repaired and upgraded for free or very cheap. That is one of the reasond I went with Glock

Smith and Wesson may have a lifetime warranty, but that doesn't change the fact that the Sigma is a piece of crap.

The issue was one of warranties... Not your opinion of one firearm out of hundreds of models made by Smith & Wesson. And since you didn't back up your "piece of crap" claim, I can only surmise that you have never owned one.

Lifetime warranty or not, Glock stands by their products. Even so, you won't need a warranty. For the amount that most people shoot, you'll never break anything. If you do, parts are dirt cheap and readily available. If you decide you don't want it anymore, you can sell it for nearly what you paid. They hold their value. What I'm getting at is that it's a non-issue.

Glock may only express a 1-year warranty, but the reality is that they will support their product well beyond that. That said, with the prevalence of Certified Glock Armorers (the shop where I work has *5* of 'em on staff, of which I am one) and the easy availability of reasonably-priced of factory parts from outlets like Lone Wolf, there's really no reason you should have to send your gun back to Georgia unless you break the frame or slide.

yeah, facts are hard to argue with, aren't they....

Dave Sevigny seems to agree with his Glock... as he keeps winning and winning :draw:

Since we are no longer talking warranties here, then we can talk corporate sponsored champions like Smith & Wesson's Doug Koenig or even Julie Goloski. (Formerly with Glock)

Rugers have no warranty. Some cheap crap has a lifetime warranty (because no one would buy it if it didn't). Glock has a 1 yr express warranty.

    The point is?

.. and literally the worst trigger a handgun has ever had.

    You've literally never fired a Kel Tec P11, I assume. :):

(No bashing intended... mine was a reliable, affordable, concealable gun that I trusted. The factory, unmodified trigger truly sucked though. It made the factory Glock trigger seem like a piece of high-custom gunsmithing!)

To answer the OP, I'm not sure there is any correlation between quality and warranty period in firearms.

    +1

If something is wrong, they take care of you, either real cheap, or free.
