Putin thinks of Obama as a wuss. The question is how foolish is the guy in the white house? So far his track record is pretty bad when it comes to the middle east.

This whole conflict is just so messy. There is no definitive evidence on who used the chemical weapons and we dont fully understand who the rebels are. It all seems reminiscent of the last Iraq war. We dont need to start another war based on a lie.

And to see Russia and China support Syria. Iran and Israel could get involved. The whole thing has the potential to get way out of hand with a lot of really heavy hitters.

This has to do with Qatar natural gas. Qatar sits on the world's largest develop NG field. Allowing it to hook into the Trans-Jordan pipeline through Syria would affect Russian control of gas into the EU. There are other options, but most options go through Syria.

This is about natural gas and money. Not religion. Russia is playing hardball.

I remember similar posturing on the buildup toward the invasion of Iraq the first time. They were afraid of our superior western military technology and might would show their inferior eastern bloc weaponry to be the paper tiger that it is. This point was proven conclusively when, on March 2, 1991, an inferior (in quantity) M1 column advancing into the Iraqi desert surprised, and were surprised by, a superior (in quantity) column of retreating T-72s in the Rumeilah oil fields. The M1s crested a ridge, virtually in a line abreast to discover the T-72s. In a matter of minutes, just as fast as the M1 crews could load, target, and fire, every T-72 was rendered into a smouldering husk with only a handful of T-72s getting off defensive shots and none of them doing any damage to the M1s. Imagine what our crews could have done if that were a planned and coordinated attack.

The Russians are afraid, 20 years on, that nothing has changed, and they are right to fear that, for it is true.

To be fair the t 72 is a Vietnam era tank being commanded by iraqis, the rooskies have modern enough tanks to put up a fight. They won't join because, as mentioned earlier that kind of escalation could really get out of hand quickly.

From Breitbart: Today, Obama, who has told us that Benghazi was the result of a You Tube video, that the NSA isn’t spying on Americans, that he didn’t know anything about the IRS targeting conservatives, there were shovel ready jobs, unemployment wouldn’t rise above 8% and that Obamacare is AFFORDABLE says he will provide “definitive proof” that it was ASSAD who used the chemical weapons in Syria.

Our cruise missiles will rain destruction upon “targets” such as airfields and fuel supplies for them without targeting Assad or his command structure and Assad will rain death upon his own people, blame it on the cruise missiles and inflame the Islamic world in the process.

A dangerous game and dangerous times we live in. Looks like the S*** could Hit the Fan soon. Hope not. I wish that I was better prepared. We have an amateur pRsedent who is nowhere near ready to play with the big boys and real leaders. He is pathetic. Hope that everyone who voted for the Great Deceiver is happy.
