    From the FB page:

    This event is scheduled nationally for 2 hours. However, we have a longer event planned for those who wish to stay. Showing up by 1:30 (EDT/Indy-Local) is ideal, so that everyone is ready to start at 2 PM (EDT/Indy-Local Time). Speaker line- up is as follows (for now!):

    Host Jessica Ann. will be giving the NCCPA speech as well as introducing the event co-hosts.
    Co-Host Jack Pupillo will then speak.
    State Senator Jack Sandlin (R S.36)
    State Representative Jim Lucas (R - H.69);
    Tami Watson (NRA instructor, Pro 2A public speaker, prior ISP, running for Bartholomew County Sheriff 2018).
    Ryan Secord;
    State Representative Jim Baird (R H.44, Candidate for U.S. Representative IN-4);
    Jim Grimes (Marion Cou...nty Sheriff Deputy, Candidate Marion County Sheriff)
    Special pre-recorded speeches for our event from:
    KRISANNE HALL!!!! And Sheriff BRADLEY ROGERS!! (Sheriff, Elkhart County)
    Co-Host Bill Slike III will then conclude the planned speakers and do speech / wrap up.

    We then plan to march around the Capitol with flags and signs flying! At 5 GUY RELFORD (The Gun Guy Show on WIBC, and NRATV) will be broadcasting his show directly to / for the rally.
    There will be MANY large groups in attendance. If you want your group added for this contact the host as well. The 2nd Amendment Riders will have a table set up, as well as our table that will have event t-shirts. There are a lot more groups and speakers adding on daily and will be added as the event gets closer. Private security is well covered and will be on site.

    Please see the PINNED POST at the top of the discussion section for more frequently asked questions, added event details such as firearms, dress, parking, and exact event gathering info. We will be adding updated information to this post and in the discussion area as it is available and questions are asked. Please remember to NOT step foot on actual state grounds while armed (at all, this is a felony); and the national organization has generally asked to carry with an empty mag well if you are open carrying a long gun.

    Please keep sharing, so the numbers rise! We need as many patriots as possible to attend.

    IIRC there is a specific place to meet up before hand but I can't find it. If anyone can help...

    Me too! Need details other than date and State Capitol Complex. Who do you want? What do you want? When do you want it? i.e. Where will we all meet up (it is a big area), at what time 6 in the morning or 6 at night?), what do you want us to bring (our old uniforms that we can't button anymore, Placards)? Who would you like to come ( it would be nice to get a bunch of young folks as well as a 70 year old veterans)?

    Be there before 2 PM (we start with speakers then) - carry signs,flags etc to support 2A (no buts) - firearms carry legally.

    more details here: https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...-2a-rally-works-april-14-a-6.html#post7482682

    Event is on South Walk / Cultural Trail Along West Washington St. south of the State House, parking is all around. -

    Everyone is invited - public event to support and exercise our constitutional rights - particularly the 1st and 2nd.

    Me and a buddy are planning on going to it ,,from Frankfort, Where are we meeting ? and where do we park ?

    Post #176 has a link to parking garages in the area. Sidewalk on the north side of Washington Street south of the capitol seems to be the rally point. The FB link to Indiana Moms Against Gun Control have a map that shows the GFZ around the Capitol.

    Its going to rain all day Saturday. So dress appropriately and bring umbrellas.

    Its Indiana. Forecast will change 3x a day between now and then. Dont trust any forecast longer than 2 hours out. LOL

    And be an adult and bring appropriate attire. Dont bail simply because you might get a little wet. You're sweet, but not made of sugar. I'll be there rain or shine. (unlike the other side which wouldnt get off the busses if it were raining)

    Protip: put a towel and a change of clothes in your trunk. If you get a little wet, you can always change when you get back to your car. Speaking firsthand, there is NOTHING like the feeling of warm dry clothes after a rainy event like this. Warm and fuzzies all over.

    EDIT: How awesome would it be for the news to show a huge protest despite pouring rain? Be dedicated. Our forefathers stood on a green one April morning and suffered a hail of bullets. The least we can do is honor them by getting a little soggy. (im actually almost hoping for rain so I can test my new Danner Gore Tex boots)

    With all the media focus on this event, all the voices expressing caution have the most value. There will be perceptions created that could be exploited by either side of the debate. The more aggressive people look or act, the more that will be exploited to make gun owners look loke a bunch of nuts. The more calm and cool people look, act and speak, the less that perception is exacerbated. There's already plenty of unchangeable negative perception about gun ownership, so any apprarances or behaviors that seem to be threatening will draw most of the attention and make the news, adding to that perception when we need traction with lawmakers. More bad press may add more calls from the antis to their lawmakers.
    2A supporters face the same challenges as any other, they have to engage feelings more than facts. Clearly there are a lot of feelings about the mass events, and those appearing as if they are a clear headed, responsible gun owner as opposed to someone ready to fight the opposition-might, might help a little.

    Someone mentioned dressing to attract attention for an educated speech. Who's to say you would be the person the correspondent picks? The other guy dressed that way might not do so hot? :)

    Question remaining: How can supporters attract the attention and achieve the objective of changing perceptions and feelings in other ways?

    I hear what you're saying 1L&A. It's an uphill battle for our side. One thing to keep in mind is that folks who don't feel comfortable talking to the press can politely say that. The hard part is the press pushing an agenda. If we fool them with the articulate hillbilly will it make the news? If you are prepared and ready to represent, walk up and say hi to the reporter.

    AND - document the conversation yourself with a video or audio recording - so that if they edit what you say unfavorably - they can be called out on it.

    The event has a number of notable speakers - including several law makers, candidates for legislature and sheriff, as well as currently holding positions.
    Hopefully - the speaking we do up on the 'steps' with the PA is picked up by the media a bit too.
