The other thing I forgot to mention that pissed me off was now they have the people who are picking people out based on their demeanor and body language for additional screening (behavior specialists is the title used). I tell you what show me someone who isnt going to be pissed off about going through all the bs they put you through now. Its amazing based on something such as watching someone you are going to pick them out and subject them to more bs.

I just hope I make it through ok and they dont misinterpret my watchfullness as suspicous or something and pull me for additional screening.

Oh wait it gets better. The last line of the article is a quote from her.

"And the machines are set so that no image is retained."

The keyword here is SET. As in setting, as in the machine IS capable of storing those images. :faint:

That would fall under profiling and they can't do that.

Seriously though, I understand where you're coming from. If you try to be aware in a let's say condition yellow and keeping an eye on people around you they could interpret that as suspicious behavior.

It seems the TSA has focused on those entering the plan for the purpose of arriving at a final destination. And it would not surprise me to learn they have completely omitted those who have adequate access to the plane for janitorial/food services because they may have been undergone a background check once before.

There always seems to be an underlying refusal to accept reality as they continually try to force a checklist on everyone in general. I think it's this lack of imagination that creates openings that can be exploited.

Did you read my post? I said that there was a news article I read recently that said they ARE storing them and over govn agencies have access to them.

They are using profilers. Thats what they are using the behavior specialists for......I also know for a fact they arent screening the people doing the food and cleaning of the plane. You didnt read my posts :(

I did in fact read your posts. The purple text is the forum equivalent of sarcasm. What I tried to imply was the lib's always get their panties in a bunch over anything they think is profiling, then turn around and do the same thing for our own protection.

I was not aware the food service, etc staff was not being screened, which is why I wrote what I did. But if they indeed are not, I'm not surprised.

Not trying to start a peeing contest, I was essentially agreeing with you.:patriot:

I wish that were the case. IIRC, they busted a bunch of aircraft service people at O'Hare because THEY WERE ILLEGAL ALIENS (sorry... I'm not sure what the PC term du jour is for people who are illegally in our country)! It seems to me if they actually did background checks on airport workers they would have known they were illegals BEFORE they gave them access badges for our nation's 2nd busiest airport.

did you know that the majority of the background investigations are done by "contractors" that OPM hires to go out and preform the checks. They get paid by the number of backgrounds they do BTW. So for the contractor its a numbers game. Do more checks and get paid more. Based on that line of thinking their have been documented cases were contractors have faked the background check data to get paid more.

When background checks first started they were performed by the fed who did take the time to look at everything the subject listed and then some. Some agencies still do this (USSS, CIA, NSA) but for the most part the rest ar done via OPM and that is contracted out.

The correct terminology is "differently citizened."

Please be more sensitive in the future.

Claire Wolfe has an interesting solution on the path to getting rid of the porno scanners.
Living Freedom Blog Archive Oppose the porno-scanners. Write a letter (but not to Washington).

THIS IS BRILLIANT!!!!! Write a letter to Disney telling them you and your family had a plan to go to FL but due to the new TSA rules you just don't see it possible as you don't want to have your children touched and exposed to the extra radiation of those machines and tell Disney that instead you will have to drive to a local attraction.

Disney gets wind of this and the letters start to come in and then the media and BAM! now you have "money" (tourisim) fighting "money" security and DC will now listen. :rockwoot:

So, the point here is that if the carry-on x-ray and the metal detector that you pass through doesn't indicate anything, then you're opposed to any further searches of the person or their property?

I'm to government agencies strip searching American citizens accused of and suspected of no crime.
